Call me crazy, but I like when my arm is numb like that. I think it's just a funky feeling. Except of course, when you're up at 3:00 am, and you just want to go back to sleep but your freaking arm is pissing you off...

...then yes, I can relate.

I've woken up with a stif neck and hand before, never at the same time, though.

I do seem to have a habit of pulling my leg when I strech in the morning, however. I can't bend my leg well for the next couple hours, then.

Usually the first thing I do everyday is sit up in bed and crack my neck. I'm not sure if it's really, really bad sleep posture, lack of exercise or both.

I don't have a problem *sleeping* when that happens - I just have a problem picking that arm up. Very awkward.

That happens to me every now and again. I sometimes sleep facing down with my arms around the pillow. When I wake up in the morning, sometimes my lower arm has done numb due to lack of circulation. It sucks when I wake up late and am in a hurry.

Yeah done heaps of stuff like that.. Mostly my neck gets really sore. I sleep with my arm under my pillow and my head on it sometimes, and when I get up i can't move my arm.

One time I woke up, and decided to get up straight away instead of sitting there for a few mins.. I got up, and pushed myself off the bed, stood up for half a second and collapsed to the floor. couldn't get up for a few minutes that was realy freaky. I think it was because i didn't eat anything for the past few days or something

And this other time! I was sleepign on the top bunk of a bunk bed, and it had no rail, and i fell down onto the bottom bunk and rolled onto the floor (TILES!) ouch XD

Never really had that as an issue. Though as a rule of thumg, never try to bend your neck to any extreme after waking up, give it a few min first

Though I've had my limbs fall asleep a MANY times. Usually it'll be something funny, like sitting down at the computer with my legs crossed and streched out in a way that the lower one gets numb after a while. All of a sudden I'll have to get up for something like the phone, or door bell, and when I get up to put weight on that leg, it can't hold it. It gives out and I go crashing to the floor. It literally feels like a wooden peg from the hip down that beds uncontrollably in the middle. Hehe

Urg....and working 11 days in a row isn't helping my neck out one bit. I messed it up even more at work last night. So after work, I got some heating pads and a new pillow....bah..still hurts..might head to the doctor if I have the chance.

I am also a regular sleeper-on-arm-guy

Although it never wakes me up in the middle of the night, and when I get up, I still have a very limited amount of movement over it (Although it's still numb as hell for some reason). Maybe I'm not doing it hard enough

ick... if I sleep with a pillow and my head is at a slant, I always have neck pain for a few hours when I wake up. :/ Plus once I woke up.... I was in one of those half-awake states... and I couldn't move. :p whenever I tried to move, I felt a sharp pain there. It was.... unique...

Well, a few days later, and my neck is feeling better. I still cannot crack it, and it still feels a bit bruised, but way better than before. At least it didn't take that long to feel better. I've heard people having neck sores for weeks on end.

Yeah it is kind of weird when your arm is numb and you can't move it, and when you touch it it's all cold... Basically it's caused by cutting the blood circulation to your arm when you sleep on it, that's why the 'doctor recommended' sleeping position is on your back, but well... foetal position all the way!!

Sometimes when I wake up my legs are asleep, although they just lie there, that can't be good, right?

Yeah, it can be a 'cool' feeling sometimes but sometimes their 'waking up' kind of hurts.
