| I have SNL on and the musical guest is Ashlee Simpson (Jessica Simpsons' little sister) and it looked like she was about to preform, when you heard her singing, but it wasn't her, it was a tape/track that they had. She started to fidget on stage asd the band kept playing and then she walked off the stage. They kept the cameras on until they were able to cue a commerical. And the one thing that went through my head, was Milli Vanilli from back in the day (if anyone here actually remembers). Wonder what's going to happen now. Hehe... Anyway, did anyone see it? |

Well it obviously isn't live, they've covered up things before for us. But I'm interested to see how they'd cut this.. the camera just sat their the WHOLE time? Was that the second song?  Man, this is making SNL even more worth to watch, haha. As far as lip-synching goes.. the problem with Mill Vanilli was that they didn't sing at ALL, not just during live concerts. I think Ashlee does sing... and it'll probably be fine. There are others who don't sing live (Usher, folks) and they're making millions still. Thanks for the heads up Anya.  |

| Okay, wtf. I just saw it. Maybe I was like not tuned in, but I didn't see her singing.. though I don't understand what the fuck just happened. She like danced around and then left. Why was the band playing? wtf. EDIT: Rewatched.... okay, the track played over. And at the end credits she blames it on her band. I can't wait for tomorrow, lmao. EDIT 2: Okay, I'm relooking at this, and it turns out the west coast had the lip synching edited out a bit, so she looked less retarded. | Well she did it live, and sort of poked fun at herself for the SNL thing. And she keeps pushing on how it was her first time and her throat was killing her, so I'm pretty sure her career will recover. Whether or not that's true doesn't matter, the fact that she says it is enough. *shrug* | |||

| At least she admitted it..but she could have in the beginning since people were going to find out anyway. That night blamed it on the band..then blamed it on herself but either way someone in the band pressed the wrong button but eh..her career will most likely recover |
