I see them just as questions to see how are we doing with this part of the program. Like, if you get 80 % usually, and in maths, in ''calcul differentiel'' (dunno how it's said in english, sorry :/) you get 65 %, it just mean, to me : ''Oops, I'll have to study that part harder than I though. Thinking like this helps me a lot and I'm less stressed before an exam.

Calcul differentiel= Differential equations (dy/dx)?

If I do bad on a test/exam, I typically take it that I didn't pay attention enough in class or to the outside work... Not too much to say outside of that. They typically don't worry me that much, either. I either know the stuff or I don't... No use worrying about it directly beforehand.

I... don't do bad on exams. My lowest score was 69, but that was a presentation in front of the class. I lost 20 for being nervous, I'd bet, throwing together all the things I screwed up on because of that, and we were even being graded on what we wore! I don't have nice clothes. Everything else, even a Spanish exam (which is a class I got kicked out of four times a week), I got at least 80 on, and I've gotten 4 perfect scores on exams - Algebra 1 pt 1, Biology 1, PE 9 (teacher gave us the answers while we took the test. ), and World HIstory 2.

So really, I just look at exams as "Hey, it's the end of the school year/semester!"

Back in high school, I usually went ape-shit if I got D or lower (in that school that's go for a 76% or lower) because then I'd have to worry about the repercussions later if it turned out I actually got lower than an A or B in the class overall.

Course, towards the end, especially after my father left, I really didn't care, and I was already well capable of pushing myself. So now in college if I do poorly, I kick myself, but not as badly as I used to. Just a mental note that I better start getting my act together if I want a halfway decent grade in the class.

Bell curve?

I've never been screwed over with a bell curve knocking my grade down. And if that ever happens, at least I can rest easy knowing that everyone went down with me.

I've never ever gotten below a C on an exam, it just doesn't happen. The lowest grade I ever recieved was a C minus on my Trigonometry Midterm, but other than that, I managed to get good grades all around. I actually do better on exams than I do normal tests and quizzes, for some reason.

Though usually when I take tests in classes like my calculus class last year, I kinda abuse the ability to ask my teacher questions during exams. For example, my last test I asked a new record of questions, getting up 23 separate times in order to ask him questions about problems I didn't understand. My questions ranged from "So here I would use the formula for finding out the fluid force on a submerged vertical surface?" to "Is this the right answer?"

The best part is that he actually answers me truthfully. I still got a 76 on it though.

I don't mind them. On the minus side, they're usually hard, but on the plus side, they're only an hour and a half long (though you can stay as long as you need), then you get to go home, plus they always come before big holidays.

No it's legal, he encourages it. They're not state exams, just normal tests.

Huh...

See, usually I figure that test and asking questions of any kind don't go together. Now outside of that, yea, I'll definitely ask if I dunno.

Mwhaha, maybe I should try. Sometimes my spanish teacher walks around and points at the wrong answers or if we need to fix something..but he doesn't tell us the answer. I think he made a mistake like that once. Usually I don' ask teachers questions during a test. It's like a test..man.

I like exams. I rarely get under 80% (or B, for most of you). I mean, exams are just there to be easy.
