And what kind?
A big stereo with batteries taped to it doesn't count. ;)

Note: Any HD player works as a hard drive . Also, don't ever, EVER, get a WMA-only player. Do you want to lock yourself down to one format? Furthermore, WMP by default puts Digital Rights Management on your files when you rip to WMA. There's no guarantee that they will work when you copy them over to your next computer. I could only wish I was making this up.

I have a CD/MP3 combo, it's a cheapo one I got from Agros but it's served me well. I'm saving up for a MP3 Jukebox though, probably an Ipod.

Somebody forgot MiniDisc >=(

I've got a Sony MZ-E909. Playback MD players are sweet. They look better and are lighter than their recorder counterparts. I record all my MDs through my PC and MD MicroSystem.

Mine is the silver one.

I used to have a cd player but then it was too much of a hassel to bring all my cds to use that anymore so i gave my mom my cd player. Then i bought an iPod, and it is amazing. I use it purely for music cause i can't bring myself to waste my precious music space with other storage. As for the car, get a 6 disc changer that plays mp3 cds and you get like a 72 disc changer. Now that's fun, or you could just go for the over the top 100 disc trunk changer with all mp3 cds and you'd have 1200 discs of music, which would be pure music bliss, just might take a while to find the song you wanted without a giant manual of where everything was.

i need a MP3 player as my friends have told me I'm one of few people who can actually fill up a 40gb iPod (I think they come in 40, i know they can come in 10).

anyways, I have a portable CD player that I take to and from school every day. it has rewritable support so that is good however i wouldn't have to carry so much if i did get an mp3 player though...

They used to come in 10 before early January. Nowadays, they come in 4 (iPod mini), 20, 40, 40 (iPod Photo) and 60 (iPod Photo).

Yeah, that's the best thing about the iPodPhoto, that it has a 60gig harddrive. It would be so good to be able to have all my songs on it without having to constantly crop and switch songs in and out of my iPod. But then again, 600 bucks is way over the top. But iPods are great, get one if you have the cash.
