Our current PM is a spamming bastard. He hired his son to send out political spam on his behalf before the elections. Conveniently, there just happened to be a hole in the spam laws that enabled political people to do this.... Our PM also did some telemarketing spam, calling people with recorded messages. ... none of this made me like our PM, which is why I didn't vote for the fucker. But he got in... |

thank GOD, they passed a law banning telemarketing in this state. And if we do get a call, and we are on the "don't call us" list (my family is, thank god), we can basicly get their company shut down er, not saying we'd go that far but its possible, apparently.

I think I love Sweden. In a BAD month, we get upwards of three, yes, three, telemarketing calls. From what I've heard it must suck to be in the states.

Yay for spam. At least it's not like: "billgates@microsoft.com", which I once received from.

Yaay, I live in an economy, not a society. I like that quote actually. None of that in Canada, we just rely on the good old "put 3582347 flyers/placards up in every town/village/city" method for elections. |

That's what we used to do. Flyers, placards, etc. Then our big fat luddite PM discovered this thing called "technology". A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. |

I wouldn't be surprised if it's AGAINST Canadian law to spam people regarding politics. If they haven't tried it by now, they never will. Then again, I don't know what's worse - some spam e-mails or having to clean up the mess on the streets the day after the election. |

Nope never got any spam like that before and hopefully never. Even though, I do get other kinds of spam once in awhile which has nothing to do with political purposes. Colleen, my bro keeps saying that Canada is a good place to live unlike the USA. Is it really a great place to live? |

You know what? Unless you have ordered it, SPAM is illegal in Sweden. Meaning that unless you have subscribed to something. The companies can't send out mail. And it's illegal if you can't unsubscribe. And besides, there is a cookie law in Sweden. All websites in Sweden must tell what the cookies are used for. ...I wish the rest of the world could apply thoose rules. Hell, it have been shown that most spam actually comes from US and not from Asia I heard. I never ever get spam, I have been lucky to not get any. |

Originally posted by Kitten YifferWe'll get even less spam later on. Well, atleast not more. Well, atleast not because of this board. Email addresses in profiles will not be shown unless you're logged in and not banned starting with the next release. You might want to un-spamprotect your email addresses then to provide a clickable link and rest assured it won't be scraped; the release is set for October 25th. Look for "b3" on the end of the version number at the bottom of the page. This has been a PM-spam-ish board ad. Take that, ChibiTaryn. |
