| When I place a CD into a CD or DVD drive, it doesn't change the title of it on "My Computer." It keeps whatever title was on the CD or DVD that was in the drive when the computer booted up (or nothing, if it was empty), and it stays that way for as long as the computer is turned on. The files, however, are accessible and everything works alright. I am using WinXP Home, and I have had this problem for a long ass time. I remember asking about it on the old boards, but nobody could help out. This is really mostly an annoyance, but it's been annoying me forever. -Ernestopheles |

| My copy of Windows 98 does (did? haven't checked lately) the same thing, although I think it only affects the icon and not the title. Do you have Auto Insert Notification turned on? That might make a difference. |
