Oh, superb! Heh, Microsuck, seen that before. This gets me back on the thought, I've really been considering a mac for my next OS. Only compatibility makes me hesitant.

They also made the site in apple style.

And oh, Apple can that too. Apple have alots of emulators. Like x86 ones.

I never tried a Macintosh. My motto is not to diss anything that I hadn't tried.

Let's see:

1) Games
2) Crash
3) Host spyware and be a general security hole

Yeah, this "Windows" platform sure has a thing going for it!

Thought not as videly avaible on mac, all things Jesper mentioned is possible on Mac.

...geez I wish the windows fans could come up with anything more creative than "it have more games". And yes I do use Windows XP the most, but i'm open for all OS's.

Yes.

2) Crash

In the 3 years I've used XP, it has only crashed on me 3 times, and I believe those were just bad nVidia drivers.

3) Host spyware and be a general security hole

After all, there isn't anti-spyware utilities for it. Oh goodness gracious no.

Yeah, this "Windows" platform sure has a thing going for it!

At least it has more than Starcraft, Myst, and Halo for it.

Which certainly justifies that they can get in that easily! Of course! Logic wins again! If you're willing to accept that spyware can get in and wreak havoc on your computer purely on the basis that "hey, I can always remove them", that's a bit sad. That's like buying a house with a 9x9 m hole in the wall, saying "hey, I can always sit up at night with a gun, in case anyone should want to break in".

As has the Mac, to some extent.

Let's see. You brought up stereotypical platform whining. I took the ball and run with it. And all of a sudden, I'm the asshole. Yes, that makes sense.

Windows is a good platform. It's sad that the number of holes have, well, not escalated, but become more appearent over time, especially when the OS finally got stable. I like Windows, but that doesn't exclude me from liking other platforms. I like OS X and Linux too, and as a programmer I especially like that it's easier to create an application in OS X using the base toolkit provided than it is in Windows.

Furthermore, I have a Gamecube, a cell phone, a GBA and a graph calculator to play games on. And noone's saying that you can't have both a Windows PC and a Mac, and just do on each what the platform does best, like playing games on my PC (or my other four devices) and fiddle with application development on my Mac. I know I do.

Indeed it can play games. Oh wait, Mac got Mine Sweeper!
It won't crash if you know how to use it. XP never crashed for me, oh well...

Wrong wrong wrong.

Take (please) Blaster. It was caused by a hole in an RPC service, something useful only on some kinds of networks for stuff like remote control. Or the JPG vulnerability, which is simply caused by a buggy piece of code in a specific JPG library, used in lots of Microsoft apps, such as IE, but also things like Visual Studio. And if you use Outlook or Outlook Express, they use IE's rendering engine too, so you're still targetted. The core OS is more or less stable, it's some buggy components that cause the holes.

Should I add a =D smiley to everything that I say that is a joke? How about :D? As a matter of fact, let's do that right now.

Amazering! The true meaning is expressed for the people who get defensive over Mac/PC jokes! I should use them all the time! =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D =D

Now, if you are wondering why I had such a hostile response to your resonse of that, it's because you attacked me about a joke. Also remember that you're in Craziness Domain, where I can call your mom a manwhore that likes Justin Timberlake, and mean it in jest. Just take a minute or two to breathe.

It's also pretty funny that you didn't see MY implied "=D"s at the end of the part you quoted. Yes, there were seriousness in there. Which is not to say that it makes the whole goddamn post serious. And which doesn't disqualify me for analysing the shit out of your quotes.
