Thats why I suggested to have it where users can ENABLE/DISABLE it.

I'd definently suggest doing something to private.php

It's easily, plain.

Checkboxes for selecting multiple PM's, easy deleting, possibly a savebox for storing selected PM's of your choice.

Basically, making a private.php like phpBB's Private Messaging System would surely be a nice edition.

You know, I was going to send 10 hookers over there just for doing all this.

Now I'm sending 15.

Here's for 20: I'm not promising anything, but I just might add in folder organization too. Edit: It's officially in. I'll code it up tomorrow. User-definable and all.

...Jesper es el machine.

A "bad words" option (and I stress that word) could be useful for the distro in case someone desired it, but not here.

Wow, when a bad word filter is enabled the words should be replaced by "Fluffy Wuffy sheep". Ive seen at other boards where for mods all the threads have a check box and you can close and detete multiple threads at once, thats always useful.

Well, you would have to have a list of words that you'd want the board to pick up, then how you'd want them to be filtered - either by replacing it with another word or with asterisks.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: migration scripts are not required in order to release. People who have a 1.8a installation and want to upgrade are likely to be the most motivated to create migration scripts. People who want a new AcmlmBoard installation don't need any migration scripts.

Just a replacement wordlist would be enough, you can just put in '*****'. That seems a bit extreme, though.
I'd like to see the Forum Jump bar at the bottom of every page, a way to filter/sort by forum in 'List Posts by This User', and clowns some changes to the female name colours, they're rather difficult to tell apart. Also if you'll look at my threads in the staff forums there's a few security holes that need plugging. I won't point them out here but let's just say certain key words need to be filtered in certain files...

...if you have Firefox you can easily make you own censor filter.

If they have to released Acmlmboard 1.9 they should also have a install script unless the board creates the tables itself when something is missing.

...I just hope the multiple PM system additons won't screw the system up.

True. But there are plenty of people out there with 1.8a. I'd say there's at least fifty setups. How many of those have even the shadow of a chance to craft a migration script? Five?

Clowns will be in. Nothing else.

Yes, kidding.

Changes to the female name colors are not development business, they're configuration business. I thought you, of all people, would know this. Forum Jump will probably be at the bottom, and in fact a Page Jump is pencilled in, for access to some odd-ball pages such as stats.php, acs.php, and so on, as we'll be cutting a bit in the menu at the top. (Who the hell uses Avatars, Color chart and Calendar on a daily basis?)

Filter and sort are easy to fix. Go ahead and file it as a feature change in the bug tracker, but it will not be high priority and might not make it into b3. We'll see.

What about this? If you click on the "NEW" picture to the left of a thread, it would take you to that thread's last unread post.

A word censor is useless. You can bypass it easily, just an example on phpBBs

"shit" becomes to "s***".

If you simply put BBcode in, like "s[b][/b]hit", the phpBB doesn't recognize the entire word but displays "shit", since the BBcode is in the word and suppressed on display (as long as it contains no errors or is not properly closed by a [/b]), but the filter doesn't find a match for "s[b][/b]hit"

What about a ghost option ?
You might want to be insivible (whyever), so it simply supresses the own entry on online user's list - should be easy enough to do.

E-Mail verification is very nice - hehe, even though a spammer might register fast using freemail providers - it is alwaysd easier to delete a user than for the spammer to set up a new account
