1024 x 768 I like being able to look at big pages and all without having to scroll left and right.

I use 1280*1024 at home, and 1600*1200 at work.

But it doesn't mater, fullscreen is da evil. I allways have my windows windowed, so I actually use 800*600.

Needless to say, any image would stretch the browser and it came in in absolutely horrid quality.
Actually, that can happens out of the blue. It seems to be the video card drivers who goes crazy and think they can't display any more colours than 16...

My computer did that for some days ago, I just downloaded new drivers and it fixed the problem. (I have no idea how that happened in the first place, but I suspect it's have to do with that nero imagedrive I installed the day before...)

The latest time I had 640x480 was on my 486, and that computer really have an small monitor. It's currently on 800x600 with 16 bit colours. I didn't notice any speed diffrence when I changed that.

Hmmm, my refresh goes down to 75 Hz when I attempt to switch to 1280 x 1024, although currently I'm running my monitor in 1152 x 864@85 Hz now, it is indeed like much worse to have 75 Hz only; and when I imagine some people run high resolutions at 60 Hz, my eyes would be bleeding
As for colours, I'm running 32-bit; my graphics card doesn't support 24 bit; I dunno notice major differences between 24 and 32 bit of colours.

I use 1024*786, and 32bit color. I used to use 800*600, but now I don't.

Here's all the resolutions I can use (ordered by vertical size), with the highest available refresh rate:

320x200 70Hz (who in their right mind would purposely use that? )
320x240 70Hz
400x300 70Hz
512x384 70Hz (the resolution I had on my old Macintosh)
640x400 70Hz
640x480 120Hz
800x600 100Hz
1280x720 85Hz
1024x768 85Hz
1280x768 85Hz
1152x864 75Hz
1600x900 75Hz
1280x960 60Hz (it won't accept 70 Hz for some reason )
1280x1024 60Hz
1400x1050 60Hz
1920x1080 60Hz (tiny pixels on my 17" ...)

And the bigger ones that my screen can't display:
1600x1200
1920x1200
1856x1392
1920x1440
2048x1536

I use 1280x1024 at work, but mostly because I work on a program that takes up the whole screen in 1024x768, and I need space around it ... not to forget the 17" over there is better than mine and can do 1280x1024 at 75Hz, and even show 1600x1200

I can also use inverted resolutions (like 768x1024), but they just look weird with the 90

Yeah, with nVRotate, you can rotate it 90, 180, or 270 degrees. Useful if you have an LCD I suppose, but I still wouldn't use 90 or 270 - I find myself wanting more horizontal, not vertical

Here's the list of valid modes I can use, and the maximum color depth and hertz I can go up to for that mode:

640x480 120 Hz, 32-bit
800x600 120 Hz, 32-bit
1024x768 100 Hz, 32-bit
1152x768 85 Hz, 32-bit
1280x960 85 Hz, 32-bit
1280x1024 75 Hz, 32-bit
1600x1024 75 Hz, 32-bit
1600x1200 60 Hz, 32-bit
1920x1080 60 Hz, 32-bit

And yes, I have an nVidia video card which is an Geforce2 MX/400 AGP 64MB, but maybe either I didn't install nVRotate yet, or it never came with it.

My mom's monitor is a whooping 7 inches

And my mom has it 640X480

Everything is freaking huge (Which is why I made it at 1028x768)

The computer I use in my room doesn't have the net but its in 1024X748 (or whatever it is). When I play videos, I have it in 640X480 since I like the videos fullscreened and I hate the quality of them when screeched. Yeah, I could just download better quality videos but dailup sucks.
