...anyways

I've been using 1024 x 768, which is just right for me and good for the boards.

If anyone out there still uses 640x480... I dunno how the hell you do it. Must be painful in the process.

1024 x 768 @ 75hz. It's been like that for a few years now. I started with 800x600, and something on this board (I forget what it was) made me want to go 1024x768.

I like it. If you're a programmer like me, we tend to be disorganized with our mini-windows, and a lot of screen surface area is nice. (except I'm not disorganized, and a higher resolution lets me see more code at a time. )

My monitor doesn't screech, buzz, hum, or anything. My c64's monitor (Commodore 1902 (model number, not a year. )) has that classic oldschool monitor screech though, but your ears adjust to it, because when there's an image on screen, the screech goes higher.

I really can't see why some people use 60 hz on a crt... too blinky!

I use 1280x1024. It's the largest my monitor goes to. (It's really 2560x1024 since I use two monitors, but I have the broswer fill one screen)

Last year at school, someone changed the resolution to 640x480, and put the colors to as low as they could go. (I can't remember how low that was, but trust me, it was low)

Nobody could change it back.

Needless to say, any image would stretch the browser and it came in in absolutely horrid quality.

Thankfully, that's all over.

1024x768. Its the lowest my monitor requires. Anything else just stretches any image horridly

I use 1024 x 768 at home. On both computers actually... I used to have 800 x 600 on one of them. But I changed recently...

I'm forced to use 800 x 600 on my school. Which is as good... those monitors get's all blurry when they handle any resolution over 800 x 600.

1024x768 @ 60Hz on a monitor that shouldn't go past 800x600...it's an old...the image displays fuzzy...and I need a new monitor basically. I know this onboard POS supports upwards of 1600x1200 but anything past 1024x768 on this monitor comes out as either dark or horribly stretched or in the worst case, unstable.

1152x768x32 @ 75Hz. I can do 1280x960x32, but only at 60Hz, and it hurts my goddamn eyes if I look at it longer than six seconds.

I use 1280 x 1024 but sometimes I switch to 1024 x 768 for doing certain things

I've always used 1152x864 for my monitor. Anything beyond that and things get too tiny.

However, my parents like to switch to 800x600 whenever they get on it (and I have to change it back afterwards...)

1024 x 768, although I'm going to try upping it and hopefully the refresh rate doesn't drop to 60 Hz.

EDIT: 1152 by 864 is the highest res I can get on my comp without the refresh rate dropping. I'm gonna try this out for a while to see how it looks.

1600x1200 @ 85 Hz with 32 bit color!

I have a flatscreen from Sony, which is what Ruby Weapon 7 has also...
I have an Nvidia G-Force4, which is awesome for gameplay on Unreal Tournament 2004

although I run at varying resolutions depending on what I'm doing (eg., I play UT at 640x480 or 800x600), when in the desktop- and, more to the point of the thread, browsing these forums- I use 1152x864

My mom was the same way, but I kept switching up to 1024x768 until she got over it. I used to play Habbo Hotel and 800x600 was not large enough for the window.

1024x768

It is just right because 800x600 is WAY too large and beyond 1024x768 is too small for my mom to read.
