*coughs* Ahem. Allright, so my dad comes hom from work with philly cheesesteaks, so he says. Now, usually (and I probably don't need to explain this) they are made on a hoagie/sub roll, and mare made of shredded beef with cheese melted in them, and they also usually come with onions in them. Now, what my dad brings home is something that's more along the lines of a burger. At least, it's shaped that way. And the meat inside isn't shredded. It's like they just took a slice out of a pot roast and stuck in in a sandwhich. So... it's this strange 'cheesesteak' on a circular poppy seed bun... wierd stuff. It doesn't taste that bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to the real philly cheesesteaks. |

yeah, but that's the thing... it wasn't a beef patty. it was just this one big flat circular chunk of beef. It was a beef coin, I tell you!

It was ok. I was talking to my dad about it. Apparently only one resturant makes them like this. They use this special spice they made. Overall it tastes sweeter than your average cheesesteak. It needs either salt or katchup, and since I don't like katchup... well, you can figure that one out. Now I no longer hunger! |

My raging commentary on this political and economic crisis can be found here. On a side note, the Philly Cheesesteak place near me makes the best. Even better than PHILLY =o |

That depends... do you live in philly? If not, I refuse to beleive that you can get cheesesteaks as good as in philly as anywhere else. Maybe new york... and anywhere else is pushing it.

If you ever happen to come across a food franchise called Steak Escape, go in there. Even if you aren't hungry. All my...ahem..."bigger" friends say that it's better than sex. I wouldn't go quite that far,, but it is really good. |
