| Yes it's that time again. After 48 years of petitions, marches, discussions and all that other crap, we're finally getting a Political Forum. (You'd know that if you popped into Help/Suggestions from time to time.  )Anyway, what we need now is a name for it. Why not just Political Forum? Because it's going to be more than that. It will consist of more sensitive issues and such. Recent events in the news, politics of course, religion, and anything else of that nature. You get the general idea. So with that being said, we need a proper name. Kind of like how the Officers Club is named. That forum is about personal issues and concerns but it has a theme name to it. Actually, just suggest anything good. And it had better not suck. Oh, and this should go without saying, but no asking for staff. The rules and guidelines will be set in stone soon but they should be fairly obvious. If we get a name and forum description, then we can expect the new forum on Thursday-ish. That's when Erk will be at his comp again and he'll add it then. |

Course, I think a clever and well written DESCRIPTION matters as much, if not more than, the name -- as it will largely set the code of conduct for the forum as well as the type of things discussed.... |

| Okay "BUSH IS DUM" is exactly what we don't want. Especially for the minority of us Republicans =P Anyway, I'm horrible at coming up with names, but the best I've heard so far is the Debate Forum. Then again, it could be discussion. I want to again emphasize the idea of this forum. It is not for only politics. It is for current events, whether nature, business, weather, foreign affairs, politics, science, religion...anything and everything of a more serious nature. What our goal is, is to have a forum where we can talk intelligently about a subject without getting idiotic and pointless responses that do nothing but waste time. It's also to ensure that posts are read that actually have merit, and read by those who will appreciate them. With that in mind, how about we refocus the naming game, and try for something a little more incorporating. |

| Thing is, with the naming game, I have suggested "News and Current Affairs" however if it's just the Acmlmboard equivalent to FARK (minus the stupidity) then it will overlap with the way General Chat is used at the moment. Extended Discussion News and Current Affairs ? |
