As my friend explained to me, it doesn't matter how powerful the system is, it's when they release, Third Parties, and their library of games.

As of now, The Xbox is easily the most physically powerful system and has better capabilites than both the GC and PS2, but does that mean it's the best? No. The PS2 still retains 70$ of market sales, while both Nintendo and Microsoft only pull in about 12% each. How? Sony easily has the most support via 3rd Party companies and developers, while it was released first.

Just a fact of truth that I thought I'd share.

Am I saying that Xenon/Xbox 2 will be the best this time around? Not exactly, but their sales could go up higher, but still Microsoft sucks horribly in the Japanese market, so they're losing a lot of support there.

Mainly the point I'm trying to get out, is the system doesn't always have to be the most advanced to be the best.

I'm not buying the next generation. Fuck that, I want to keep my money. If Nintendo manages to keep their word and not release the Revolution for a LONG while, then, I'll be glad, since Sony and Microsoft obviously aren't happy enough with the software they have now.

Bleh. Whatever.

I'm probably going to be like that too...had I not splurged back in '02 I probably wouldn't have passed my old PSX. :\

My best-gen console is my PS2 and that's it.

Well. I took like 8 months before I got the gamecube. So if anything i'm not going to buy any of them at the release date.

...unless they really have a big release game, that I can't live without. >.>

You know what is funny? The fact that 99% of you are OMG HOLY FUK NEW NINTENDO CONSOLE. RRRR SONY GETS SQUARELOLOLOLOLOLOOOLOLOL!!!!! M$ R GAY!!@$#25t43wektrfdsakouet98ir

Really, you need to look at this thing called business. It doesn't give a flying fuck what you think, nor do any of these companies. You know what? If Nintendo could exhume your closest relatives corpse and fuck it for a billion dollars, it would, Hell, I would. The fact of the matter is, the numbers in the most advantageous market, North America state that the X-Box2 or Xenon will probably gain a larger foothold than the Nintendo Revolution. Why? It appeals to mainstream gamers. The PS3 is always going to be like all Sony consoles, a poorly made piece of machinery that has good support.

Look, I love Nintendo, but I also love to be reasonable, you people are being idiots when you don't look at market trends and swear by fanboy console partisan warfare.

Amen to that.

Personally Im buying each of the systems as soon as thier released because of 4 reasons
1) Money isnt an issue
2) Im impatiant
3) I like next gen consoles
4) I like having stuff first

I also know how to play my cards right So I can manage to get all three systems with a couple of games and spend the minium amount from my own pocket.

I think Nintendo definitely has to look into some sort of online function though - the DS is definitely their first look at it via wi-fi, and even if the system comes out with a ton of great games and features... some gamers might pass it up because it doesn't have online functions. Then again, since we're talking about Nintendo, they won't put in online unless they can figure out a revolutionary way to do it.

Don't be so sure, I've seen a box for Pokemon Online recently (don't know whether it's real or not tho )
it was for the DS
