| OOC: This is a challenge to Grey only. Takes place in the future. Feel free to enter the scene any time, Grey. Good luck. In the universe, there is only one timeline. Countless points of the timeline marks the births of all kinds of life everywhere. But those lifeforms are forced to only advance through the timeline in a straight path forward, never backward and never changing speed. But... what if it was possible for one to have the gift to jump from any point on the timeline to any other point, whenever he wanted? Such thoughts are what goes through a 69 year old figure's mind. "It is possible. I have seen it," the figure decides. Through the air, a figure wearing platinum crystal armor and riding a bird-shaped crystal flies... heading for an earthy plain where a great turning point of his life happened. The figure lands his bird platform, steps off, and waves his hand. The armor and platform disintegrate into particles, which exit the Material Plane into the Etheral Dimmension, where they are stored for the figure's next use. This figure wears white, loose clothes, a silver cape that flows in the wind and a black blindfold. His face is withered with age, but always kind looking. His hair is grey, and he emits a natural aura of peace beyond comprehension. This 69 year old character is Schwa-- Prince of Crystal Psipalace, meaning he's the next one to become Sensae. Schwa looks at the plains where he set foot-- it's just as they were during the turning point, the rocks churned up from beneath the ground and earthern hills dotting the landscape. This plain was where he sparred with Janus back when he was 16. "I remember it clearly," he says to himself, "that fight helped me recognize more of who I am. It is because of this that I am as wise as I am. "This is the 53rd time I have come back, in honor of that legendary man with a hammer. I now offer my endless Respect once again to him, for his help when I was so young." Schwa kneels... |

| As Schwa kneels to the earth, a hole in space and time rips wide open... Janus: "Woo, that never gets old!" It's Janus, come back after 53 (a heck of a lot more than that to him, actually...) years of Schwa's life! Interesting thought, of course, that he would be so late in coming back, but the entire reason for his appearance is because of the years of experience Schwa's gained.... It should also be noted that Janus, while totally full of energy, also appears to be completely torn up... His clothes are ripped, he's got bruises all over his body, and there appears to be a huge wound in the middle of his chest. "Perfect timing! Man, am I glad to see you! Alright, here's what's up: I just came out of a fight with none other than Star, the Time Champion! I've finally figured it out, I've finally figured out why I can't die, and what I need to do to get revenge on the people who've cursed me! It's total genius! I just have to get rid of the people who cursed me, and I'll be able to live a normal, albeit eternal, life! Anyway....." Janus doesn't even bother to check the possibly bewildered expression on Schwa's face... "My point is, I'm raising an army, and you're probably (especially at this point in time) the strongest single person I can think of to help me. So let me ask you this: How much stronger have you gotten in 50 years? It's gotta be a lot; I know you don't really do much more than fight the forces of evil around here... Care to show me? | Schwa slowly stands and walks to Janus. "Hello... Janus." He blushes for a moment, but it fades. "Wow. I'm kind of embarassed to have you visit me at this age of my life, seeing that you have not aged at all. The funny thing is, I was just talking to myself about time travel. Oh well, it is but a small irony. "So you want to see my enhanced power? I am the Psi Prince of Crystal Psipalace now. Sensae is almost 300 years old, not even immortal. He will die soon. When that happens, I will be the next Sensae, making me the strongest of all psi warriors. I've been very busy, as they are training me for the Ritual of Leadership which I must take to become Sensae. And it is a greuling process. But I do have time to help you. "Do you recognise this field, Janus? 53 years ago we sparred under the stars, right in this very spot. It was a turning point in my life, as it helped me recognize more of who I am. Every year I have come back here to honor that day. And today was that day. Now it is my turn to return the favor by helping you defeat this evil that has cursed you. But first I will be obliged to show you my abilities. "You looked damaged. I will heal you first. Etheral Mending. Schwa holds an aged hand in the air, and a golden firey ether gathers there and engulfs his hand. Schwa stares at Janus, and the ether leaps to Janus's body and engulfs him. The ether mends his wounds and restores his flesh, bringing him to max health in 10 seconds with a side effect of giving him an emblissed spirit. The ether then dies down, and Schwa stands focused. "Janus, it will be an honor to spar with you in this same field. Do your best... believe in yourself. Good luck!" |

| Janus: "Ah.... Thanks a bunch, Schwa... You don't know how much I needed that. Have you heard from Star at all? He's gotten very strong. But then again, I have too. And from the sound of it, you've been very busy yourself." Janus takes his bag, already converted into a hammer from his previous fight, and flourishes it around him, showcasing the knowledge and skill that came only from years of experience. Of course, Janus' training was hardly as grueling as Schwa's, for sure. In fact, it almost seems as though the roles have been reversed; Where Schwa was once the man who learned from wisdom, now his power is wrought from hard work and diligent meditation. Likewise, Janus' years of experience have given him strength, as opposed to the strict regimen he followed many years ago... "I can't wait to see what new tricks you've learned... Here's one of mine!" "Icewind!" Icewind! A freakish mutation of Janus' tornado technique and Blue's Blizzard, Janus opens with this cold move! Spinning into a whirlwind, shards of ice surround him and form a protective barrier of frozen water. "You've fought Agent Blue before, right? He taught me how to do this before I left them all behind..." |

| "That is surely a variation of Earthern Tornado. Well here is a variation of my favorite attack. Omega Psibeam!" The main attack for all Psi Warriors is Holy Psibeam. But through years of training, the attack can become Alpha Psibeam, then Delta Psibeam, then Omega Psibeam and finally Yamato Psibeam. Schwa carves a platinum-colored arc of energy in front of him, then points at Janus's barrier and the arc takes off. Omega Psibeam does great damage and reduces defenses of the target it hits. And of course, the attack homes in because it is locked on to Janus's spirit. "Let us see if my psychic power is as strong as your elemental defense." Schwa hopes the attack will shatter Janus's wall. |

| The barrier's certainly shattered, but Janus isn't... Instead, a hole in the ground can be seen as Schwa's Omega Psibeam starts to curve downward before it collides with the tornado. Janus is underground! Certainly an old pattern of attack to use, but there's a twist to this one... As Janus bursts out of the ground near Schwa, he's on fire! "Red's Fire!!!" Everything's better when it's on fire, right? Well, not necessarily for Schwa here... In fact, considering Janus burst out of the ground right next to Schwa, he's in a perfect position to do a flaming tackle-type attack. Which he does. And it's firey. |

| "One point for you," Schwa mutters as Janus tackles. There's no time for Schwa to counter when the foe is at point-blank range. But the old man doesn't let himself get knocked down, instead he grabs Janus by the arms after his attack hits. Schwa then holds Janus straight up in the air, pointing his legs straight upward, then releases a shockwave of peculiar energy over both of them... "Psi Vortex A!" Of course, the attack is useless if it misses. So if Janus has escaped from Schwa before he uses this move, nothing happens. If not... you'll see. OOC: If the attack hits, you get the description.  |

| As the shockwave goes through his body, Janus twists his body, and the hammer still in his hands (rendered useless by Schwa's grab maneuver), and tries to attempt to tornado out of the attack! Regardless of what happens to him, he's still gonna get shocked... | |||

| Janus escapes, but a moment too late. The attack has hit it's mark, and it's effects are far worse that a simple shock... "Janus, you are now under the influence of my hypnotic Psi Vortex A. I'll tell you exactly what it does. Half the time you attack, you'll see illusions instead. You may think you hit with your attack, but it could be a complete miss. And vice versea for that matter. You may start to see strange things you never thought existed. Sometimes the images are so intense you'll suffer mental damage! This effect lasts for a while, and I do not plan on giving you any breaks so long as this spar continues. Brace this attack if you can." Schwa holds a palm out, and a psychic beam is fired in a pulse toward Janus. In Janus's eyes, the beam is a foot higher up than it actually is. |

| Janus: "Illusions....?" But it's too late; the attack's already blasted him full on. Scared and confused, Janus is thrown to the ground, wondering what hit him. "So.... that's what he meant. Damn!" Undaunted, Janus gets up and rushes at Schwa, aiming an overhead shot at (what he thinks) is Schwa! |

| "Your aim is off." Schwa turns his body to let the attack miss, then grabs Janus by the back and throws him in the other direction. Janus notices for sure that Schwa is way more serious in battle than he was 53 years ago. After the throw, Schwa follows up with another beam attack just like the first one. Janus can see this attack perfectly normal, no illusions throwing him off this time. | |||

| Anchoring himself with his hammer, Janus throws himself flat to the ground and lets the beam pass straight over his head for a successful dodge -- one that won't happen a second time if he doesn't keep paying attention. Janus: "Well, you've certainly turned things up a notch. It's good to know you've been paying attention these last few years." The illusions would get the best of him for sure if Janus didn't do something about them... But suddenly he got an idea... Noticing Schwa's blindfold, Janus realized that until this attack wore off, he'd have to figure out some way to keep his eyes from penetrating his mind. And the best way to make sure your eyes don't bother you, is to shut them! Janus does, of course, have four other senses to keep himself alive. Using his ears, Janus blindly orients himself to the environment, trying to deduce where Schwa is. He makes no sound at all, knowing that any unconcentrated sound could throw his only saving grace off with ease. Finally, after getting a relative idea of where Schwa might be, he speaks... "It's been a long time since I've had to do this, but let's see if I still can!" |

| Schwa is hit and is sent in the air. Instantly, Psi Vortex A's effect weakens a little. Schwa lands on his feet and smiles. "You have figured it out. Successful hits on me will weaken the effect of your condition. Now let us kick it up a notch. "I use Thunder Glider." Schwa holds a palm out, and blue ether pours out of it and forms into a top shaped platform in front of him. The platform hovers an inch above the ground. Schwa steps on the platform and it carries him 20 feet in the air. The tip of the platform crackles with sparks, as if it's ready to launch out a thunderbolt. Schwa calls to Janus. "I am in the air now, so you must learn to do ranged combat while blind if you must hit me! Get ready for a thunderbolt!" Schwa focuses, and a beam of electricity flies from the tip of the top toward Janus. He wouldn't see it if he were to open his eyes, because the nature of Psi Vortex A makes it hard to see everything after you've seen nothing for a while. |

| Thunder Glider.... Janus remembers this old move... and hears the lightning bolts fire! Of course, for the time being, he's going to have to just keep moving. As the first bolt just barely misses his heels a plan begins to form in his mind... Janus (thinking): 'I'll be safe as long as I don't stop moving.... but I won't be able to get a lock on Schwa as long as my feet hit the ground and I can't concentrate... What did I do to take care of this move before...?' |

| God from the machine! Janus remembers what he did right before the lightning bolt hits, and leaps high into the air! Janus: "Yeah, that's it! I remember now, and best of all, I won't have to deal with the sound of my footfalls either!" Using the sound of that last bolt to guide him, Janus tries to close on on Schwa's general location! He can't attack, of course; He's got no real clue where Schwa is, just a general figure... |

| "Good, Janus. I am over here. Soon you will be closer than necessary. Thunder Dash!" Schwa's platform tilts at a 45 degree angle, the tip pointed toward Janus. Then Schwa kicks the platform with both legs, launching it toward Janus, a cone of electricity surrounding it. Schwa stays suspended in midair until it hits or misses, when it will then come back to him. This attack has the ability to penetrate most energy shields and is very fast, but not the strongest move. It makes a crackling sound as it moves, though, giving Janus the location. |

| Janus: "Heh..." *grins* The second the platform launches at Janus, Janus tosses his hammer past it at Schwa, allowing himself to freefall through the air and out of the way of the platform! Of course, there's one small detail he forgot about... The ground. SLAM!!! "Ackkk!!!! ........I forgot I can't fly...." Sprawled on the ground, Janus took a minor fall, and will need to reorient himself -- fast! |
