| NEVER LIE TO YOUR MOTHER Dave Hester invited his mother over for dinner. During the course of the meal, Dave's mother couldn't help but keep noticing how beautiful Dave's roommate, Stephanie, was. Mrs. Hester had long been suspicious of a relationship between Dave and Stephanie, and this had only made her more curious. | Call me paranoid, but I'm inclined to see the story as more than just a joke. It seems to have a undercurrent of an anti unwed cohabitation and a pro "family values" message. Knowing of Nebetsu's religious denial of evolution, it may be reasonable to conclude that part of the appeal of the story is based in a conservative religious view. I think that is why I found the story rather unamusing and possibly a little sickening. |

| I doubt that this mother cares if he sleps with her or not, probably just wanna mess with him. If this really have happened, it sounds like a urban legend that would come up on snopes.com. Still most urban legends do have a ring of truth. And this was a great story! But the beginning and the end make it feel like it's have been posted from e-mail.  |
