An Invisible Gorilla has won the Ig Nobel Prize.... and the validity of the claim that dropped food is safe to eat if it has been on the floor less than 5 seconds has also been tested.... and won an Health prize!!  The Article at New Scientist The article also says that there were higher suicide rates in areas where Country Music was played on the radio...  And they also think that fish may communicate by farting.... While most of the prizes sound silly, there is some real thought behind this stuff. But the 5 second rule one did make me giggle, as well as the fish one.  Read the article, it's interesting |

| I remember that Gorilla... I saw it the first time I looked on the video. Probably is related how I sometimes make a quick check around even if i'm very busy with something. About the five second rule... I don't follow that. I just take it up and see how dirty it is, either I just "clean it off" or I throw it. I'm not afraid of bacterias or something... hell getting some is good actually. (people being too clean tend to get allergic...) |

| Well, here it's always been referred to as the 5 second rule. But personally, I don't tend to eat much that's hit the floor, unless it's done so in my own home.... floors here are pretty clean |
