I'm beginning to use CSS more and more now. After the "Tomo Takino" layout, I liked the simplicity. This has to be the smoothest layout code wise It's Powerman 5000 themed as well. A brilliant metal band. The guy to the left is PM5K's lead singer, Spider One Originally posted by Quoting Monster And my link (edited by Tomo Takino on 09-28-04 08:04 PM) |

They're next album is going to have a pretty decent producer. Hopefully it sounds more like TTSR and not so much like the last one. Hmmm, well I saw this when you were checking it out in your profile and I was a bit worried that the text on the background might blur in with the text that you post but the font color seems to do well here. And the quote box looks great. |

Thanks I've been a bit more imaginative with text colours this time around, and I've been testing out text on the background since the beginning of creating it. The Bubblegum Crisis layout prompted me to do that I loved both Transform and Tonight the Stars Revolt, and the same goes for Anyone For Doomsday... But I can see why some fans don't like Transform, it's a bit of a departure. (edited by Tomo Takino on 09-28-04 07:40 PM) (edited by Tomo Takino on 09-28-04 08:04 PM) |

Yeah, your BGC layout was great too. It's good to see more fans of that as I think it's highly underrated. (Or just not talked about enough.)

Oooo...I like...you might want to put something padding in that text box though...just in case you go to italicize something and it goes off the box at the end. 4px is pretty much all you need. But otherwise that looks really good. |

Ya there it is. Alternatively you can check it with the text fill in the layout thing...but I figured I might as well add that just in case you go nuts with italics one of these days. Does that layout stretch too? |

I rarely use italics, and my layouts rarely stretch much, but it's fine for both now (edited by Tomo Takino on 09-28-04 08:05 PM) (edited by Tomo Takino on 09-28-04 08:25 PM) |

Looks pretty good. I'm not too fond of that punk in there, but its a good job on creating that image. Anyway, I have a few suggestions. First, it doesn't look very balanced. Maybe you want to put something on the right of the text box, or have it fill the whole area - punk. And if you want your text-align justified, maybe you wanna put a colon there instead of an equal sign. Not that it will make things look different. The final thing I would suggest is to make your blockquote hrs a little more colorful, instead of the default. Overall, not too shabby.

Nah, I like everything else the way it is As for the equals sign, I've got an escuse for that It hasn't changed from the copy and paste from Hiryuu's crossdressing layout For my Tomo Takino layout, it was a straight copy and paste... This one was built from elements copied and pasted from that one at a time |

It's a really nice and easy to read layout Tomo Takino I have never heard of the band though The colors are incredible and I love the brown effect with black. I espically love how you have the text flowing in the background |

First off, your colors fit together nicely. I was a bit worried to see orange on yellow, but it works out nicely. You should make your textarea wider. It's too small, especially if you quote someone. You can always set it so it'll leave some black space on each side, but then you should include top and bottom aswell. I don't like the text overlapping into your textarea, but that's a personal preference, and entirely up to you. Could you show a stretched out post? |

I was going to have the pictures sit at the bottom, but I think they look ok at the top Also, I'll decrease the padding around the quote boxes (edited by Kasumi-Astra on 09-29-04 10:02 AM) |

I really think it would look better without that black space on the right, if your text box filled that up. But again, entirely up to you. In any case, now that I have seen it stretch, I definitely think that the background image should be bottom-aligned. Maybe you could cut off the top where it says powerman 5000, and have that top-aligned, with a nice blending black in the middle. |

Three thumbs up from Toxic. My friend really likes Powerman, although I can only say I listened to World's Collide when I was playing Tony Hawk |
