| To put it bluntly, cliques are an unhealthy waste of time. You tend to make more enemies than you do friends and it oftentimes causes discrimination. It's better to have diversity because you can share interests in greater numbers and you learn each person's perception. I believe everyone is a good person, it's just the things that influence us to ignorantly label eachother that is bad. However, I'm glad you're making new friends anyhow. |

Not many goths to get to know at my school but still. There was this girl I thought would be weird and stuff but she's not, she's actually smart and explains herself well. I don't know her well and I wouldn't say that I talk to her but she seems like a good person. I think she's goth  or along the lines of that  . It's like they're in their own worlds and everyone else doesn't really pay attention to that other clique stuff. Either that or I'm in my own world with my friends because I don't notice cliques at my school |

| The mall in my hometown has Hot Topic directly across from Abercrombie and Fitch. It's a fashion hub for two diametrically opposed subcultures. People who want mainstream style (and possibly to get laid) will go to A&F, and people who want gothic/punk/and so on style (and maybe to get laid) will go to Hot Topic. It's amazing how easy it is to buy an identity these days. |

| Ah yes, Hot Topic. Where you can buy an image instantaneously. However, there is one good reason for Hot Topic. Buying the occasional band t-shirt. But then again, you can get those anywhere. For cheaper. Like e-bay.  Or any other online store that deals with products of that nature.Hot Topic does carry some video gaming related merchandise too. So I suppose that's good. Still, I despise that place. It encourages this time of foul behavior. |

| Hot Topic and A&F are both on the same level as far as i'm concerned. Definetly both trendy stores.. just as whoever you people are calling "Goths" and whatever you label those who happen to reqeunt A&F are on the same page with each other... i'm not "against" either of them, because they are all individual people, not deserving of disgustingly broad generalizations. you're only limiting yourself. It's easy, and a large part of human nature, for us to make these sweeping assumptions; to catagorize, and to make quick assesments of things and people. If you get around to reading anything by Carl Rogers (and i suggest you do) he takes great pains to explain humans "reflex judgements". they can often time be extremely limiting, unfortunatly  |
