Basically, what things about the Super Mario series make you go " "?I have several: - Eat a mushroom = grow to twice your size.  (...unless it's a Mario Kart game, in which case you get a speed boost, but that doesn't make sense either.)  - One word: Bowser. (What the hell kind of creature is he, anyway?)- You defeat Bowser by jumping on an axe. Well Bowser harkens back to the days of "Hero defeating Dragon" glory. Originaly called King Koopa (I think), Bowser just mutated into his modern form by the SMB3 face lift. I never could figure out the Bowser variations between SMB1, SMBSS  and SMB3  I'm guessing Artistic liberites based off of simple pixeled images is the answer, but still the tv koopa is drastically different from the video game koopa |

| Actually that happens to most charachters, cartoonic or not. They evovle and change in looks. Mario have changed over the years and so have bowser and his enemies. I still wonder why Bowser is coloured diffrent on the cover than ingame. From what I know, that's the japanse and European cover. The US one was very diffrent for some reason. (I have the orginal SMB cover laying around somewhere...)About Mushrooms, Mario like every other hippie get's high of them.  And get over it, but the Mushroom universe have diffrent physics than ours.  |

(I have nothing against Yoshies, I just think the concept of a long-tongued dinosaur is funny) - The fact that, in America and Europe, Nintendo took a game COMPLETELY UNRELATED to Mario in any way, changed a few graphics around, and released the altered game as "Super Mario Bros. 2." - The word "goomba." - Who put all those coins in those "?" blocks? |

If you still think like this will see much more. -A mushroom that make mario grow up in seconds; -A flower that enable you to shoot fire; -A star that make you invincible; -Floating grounds and block; -A cloud where mario can get up on it; -Doomships; -All this weird enemies; etc... The mushroom kingdom may be a creation of mario author's imagination, but it is a place who I really would like to visit! |

| Weird things about Mario: 1. The Flag, lowering it does....what....nothing 2. Flowers make you spit fire, or throw it from your hand, apparently that depends on ths shape and color of the flower. 3. Caps are apparently new form of metamorphosis. 4. Turtles can be de-shelled, if that actually happened it would instantly die. 5. Touching a star makes you invincible, instead of causing you to BURST into flame 6. Bowsers head was bigger when he was a baby. |

I was on 6th grade when I learned about it. The characteristic feature of a turtle is its shell, which has an inner, bony layer and in most instances, an outer layer covered with large scales called scutes or shields. All of a turtle's internal organs have adapted to function within this unusual armor. |
