• when I first discovered WBS (Webchat Broadcasting System)- an old chat system that is like a cross between a message board and IRC- in August 1996, I wanted 'Raven101' (I wasn't online-savvy then, and it was the first one I could think of). the name was taken, and using a name I gave to a character in a video game I was playing at the time, I went to 'Regal101', which was my first online name.


• shortly thereafter, 'Lord Regal'. as I had to point out numerous times during my time with that name: no relation to Lord Steven Regal of then-WWF fame.


• Then, 'Damos Apollo', just something I pulled out of my ass one bright day in the middle of the night.


• Then 'Exodus520'. not sure where I got '520' from, but it wasn't from '420'.


• Then I had several variants on that name; NeoExodus520, NeoExodus2000, etc


• While sitting at my computer shortly after midnight on January 1, 2000, I decided on a new name: 'commonREBEL', case as typed.


• Sometime thereafter I named myself 'zero soul' after the name of a poem I wrote in Nov. 1999. This is the name I had when I found Challenge Games- and the ROM hacking scene- on my 17th birthday, July 23, 2000, when I was looking for a place to release my first ROM hack (FF: Girls Night Out). I stuck with this name for longer than any other name I had. I first registered at this board with that name, but didn't stay long (at this board, anyway).


• On July 23, 2003, DES split from CG and became a seprate group. I registered (via HTTP proxy) on their message board, and with all the anti-zero soul, anti-thaddeus, etc., sentiments at DESnet, I chose a pseudonym based on a sig banner I had made for myself earlier: "Vystrix Nexoth". I liked the name and stuck with it. About a month later, I registered here again, using this name. During the last sex change at this board, I went as 'Vystrixia Nexoth' for a brief period of time.


• Here in the emulation/ROMhacking scene I go as Vystrix Nexoth, but I also sometimes participate in the Quake/FPS scene, in which I go by a different name: Generic Badass.

Out of all the non-Acmlm ones, "Milly" lasted the longest by far
