I was reading through the old board (until acmlm noticed and blocked me from his server ) and... things were markedly different back then. The whole board. (Obvious.) Things were better then. I hate the people here now. (With love.) On the old board it was all fun peaches and cream. There was sarcasm, but it was happy. (I continue this tradition by calling people dickshits.) I want the past back. =( Someone build me a time machine.

P.S. Unlike most things I write, this one is semi-serious.

EDIT: it turned semicolon underscore semicolon right parenthesis into ;_[winking smiley]. This upsets me. I fix.

I agree. Ever since this "new" board came to pass, I just seem to care less and less about this place.

Shame really. It was more fun back then. No one would bitch at you for having fun...well, at least not as much as they do now.

I could post a link to a telling thread on the old board, but I can no longer access it. Luckily, I saved the important dialogue. Lemme see how this formatting holds up.

Orlandu:. . . But anywho, I'm glad that spam isn't a real problem here. On other boards, it is just crazy and if you go a little off topic on one of your posts, they ban you from the site.
Acmlm:Yeah, I have some sort of high tolerance for spammy posts on my board. I never really posted on one of those pretty strict boards though.
Emuz:Some short posts on those strict boards they call spam simply beacuse it's only a few lines long. Will alot is spam, sometimes all that is needed to answer a question is yes, or no.

Emuz:I guess. Some boards are so strict where the message must be at least two sentences. I haven't seen one myself, but I've heard about them.
Acmlm:I've never really posted in a really strict message board ... but I'm not going to be too strict here.
Emuz:Strict boards are no fun! You should be able to post on the board, and be able to comunitcate, not be worried about being banned for 'Yes, that's right.' and etc.

I've never been to the old board (except when browsing the backup). But I like this place, the 'new' board.

I've got an idea! How about removing the rule saying you can't be mean with 'to-be banned' n00bs.

It's the same reason he killed the old gunbound script, heh.

And yes, I'd have to agree. Lately it's like a lot of pure crap's been here. Not spam, just pure shit.

Wow, I had no idea this board had this many cynics.

If the status of the board means that much, there is always the concept of bringing back retro thread ideas from the old board, but I'm not sure how everyone else would take to the idea.

Actually the board have sort of become like that again, notice that thoose people aren't as active anymore.

And hell, the board have gotten better. I say that the worst period boaredwise was the first half of this year. When the staff was "OMG YOU SPAM OMG YOU SPAM OMG SPAM". And then banning people directly instead of warning them beforehand...

People bitch less now than during that period, hell i'm going to create a fun thread and I don't care how much people bitch about it. Just frickkin ignore it.

Actually, i'm against spam. But mostly the "Hi, this is a nice thread" type. ~_~

Ah, one of these threads again.

Am I the ONLY one who notices that these threads have been with the board since damn well near the beginning?

Seriously, the board is always in a "Oh man, the board sucks compared to back then..." state of mind.

Nothing new here.

In a couple of years or so, you'll see another thread saying that THESE were the good old days and how you all wishe we could be like THIS again.

Actually, I remember seeing a thread like that Legion on Acmlm's backup board.

One thing is fact, the board is slow now. But then the board have been slow before, and then the activity spring up later.

...heck i'm one of the few that says board got better lately.
