I love a good Pokemon game. I can't wait until Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green comes out here in the USA. Anyway, I want to find a good Pokemon Ruby hack. Does anybody have one good hack?

Its kind of early to have hacks. I mean, the games haven't been out long enough for people to figure out the pokemon and level data yet. Its not like you can just sit down and make a hack. It takes months.

Pokemon Ruby has been out for about a year, hasn't it? Besides, we can always look at player's guides or www.gamefaqs.com for info about the Pokemon data. Has a hacking device every been made for Pokemon Ruby?

Players Guides generally do not provide information on compression and memory addresses.

And a good hack takes time to design items, maps, new pokemon data, etc. etc.... I doubt we'll see a complete Ruby hack for a year or so...

Well I'm making a Ruby hack, still in the early stages though. There really isn't any complete hacks for Ruby/Sapphire, sorry.

Eh-hem... Ruby's been out for a year indeed, and EliteMap (and associated utilities) supports Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed AND Leaf Green quite good.

Fire and Leaf.. I mean Fire and Water (GOD DAMN NOA!) will probly be released before Obsidian(unless hes anounced a release date or somthing and I havn't heard it yet)

Well, I'm hacking Sapphire to make Pokemon Black. But because my version (came with Elitemap 3.2) of Rubikon (0.07) doesn't support my Sapphire (which I know isn't a homebrew ROM), though it's SAPPAXPE, I'm also makin' Black: Ruby Mode, a hack of Ruby. Of course, if I can find a version of Rubikon more recent than 0.07 (sr.zip at interdpth.3x.ro is a dead link, the whole site is dead), then I can cancel Ruby Mode entirely! Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! (It's hard doing about 34978926450647843265143657802653 modifications AGAIN.)
Black's almost finished, UNLESS I can get a new Rubikon. And Ruby Mode's barely started!
(which is good, because if I get a new Rubikon no hard work will be wasted.)
