We don't have paper bags at the stores here, so to me, there isn't much choice.

If I had a choice, I'd probably end up choosing the plastic one, though.

I'd choose plastic because it's more durable and plastic technology nowadays keeps advancing. There's even (rumor, don't take it for granted) a plastic engine. =D

I haven't seen paper bags used in store since I was, maybe 19 or 20. Plastic is just better, especially when you're carrying a lot of food to your apartment all by yourself and you don't feel like taking serveral trips back to your car.

I thought the paper one would be more durable.

And where is the textil choiche? We have some of thoose, they can be used over and over again, and they are alot more durable than plastic or paper... I guess it's more expensive thought.

EDIT= and to stop this from being spam

Plus you can't hold on to paper, and it loves to rip.

Paper bags... ICK. I could never stand them back in the day.

Then again, about 99% of grocery bags around here are plastic now, so who cares. I'm sure you have a choice but lots of people like to reuse the plastic bags... and you can't really do that with paper.

I generally use Paper since to use plastic I'd generally have to double or triple bag them, and I can use the paper bags as trash bags later on.

I plan on getting one or two cloth grocery bags, though, to cut down on waste. I want some, but I have had very little initiative to go out and find (and buy) them.

Paper.

You know those stereotypical american film scenes where the dad of the family comes home with today's groceries, which invariably include atleast one piece of french white bread sticking up? He's not carrying them, he's lifting them from underneath or from the side. There are no handles on them. We put handles on them on top, and by god I hope you do too. Anything else is just retarded.

I've never seen a plastic bag that holds as much as even the SMALLEST paper bag I've seen.

That's just a symbolic representation of Sweden's prison system.
GYAH.

The paper bags where I live have handles, but it doesn't matter. Plastic's easier. I seriously don't care about the environtment omg
