| Well, I decided to hack either Pokemon Red or Gold, possibly leaning towards Gold. I want to completly redo the whole thing, starting with making my own Pokemon. Thing is... I can't edit the Pokemon. I don't know of any specific editor that edits the graphics for either of them and in a tile editor I can't see any of them. I can see the sprites, but not the actual battle pics. I am sure this is a completly stupid question, as it will possibly be easily answered, but I looked and looked and looked for a program and in a tile editor and still nothing. *sigh* Can anyone help me with this? |

| Did you try Zophar? On that page you'll find GoldMap, which allows you to edit a lot of things in pkmngold, including edit battle portraits. | |||

| GoldMap is for editing map you dumbasses,For replacing GFX wich is the fucking stupid pokeon sprites download the dos Application,Just look up the thingy for replacing gfx in pokemon GS and it doesnt work with crystal i bet you will be like 2 days finding out how to use an hex editor (or if u know how already) and 2 weeks to be done replacing GFX Well look for it,Or maybe later ill upload it somewhere and give it to you..... |

| watch who you are calling a dumbass, as you don't seem to know what you are talking about. Anyways, the graphics are compressed. You technicly can't edit red's as the format hasn't been found. if you know the location of the images, you could do some repointing and put in some images from green and yellow, but thats alot more trouble than it's worth. As for gold, theres a german program which edits the graphics as easily as PokePic would for the advanced games, but if you aren't willing to muck around with that I'd suggest using Mewoth's image inserter. The latter program might be available at Zophars, but if not just Google it. You'll find it in time. | |||

| GB-K: Ummm... I have Goldmap... and all it does is edit maps... GetLow: Already know how to edit hex. I can't find the DOS file on Zophar, though. MBD: I figured that Red's graphics haven't been figured out. Just asking just in case. I like how PokePic edits the graphics so I might just find that german program. As for Mewoth's image inserter... not on Zophar's. I will search on Google for it... unless someone here has a link to either one of those and missed it... Thanks for the help. |

| the german Gold gfx editor is called AGI-XP as far as i remember. get it here http://magicstone.de/rhw/index.php?action=gskprogs also get ZeroMap it's supposed to be better than gold map. |
