I am not really a big fan of DDR because I don't like dancing plus I am more confortable with playing games sitting down and relaxed.

I like DDR. It's a great game. Very innovative and innovation is always a plus. I have one of the pads they make for home use but it's not NEARLY as good as the actual arcade machine.

Mm...I do...only thing I can say is I'm not really that good on the pad but I'm decent off (using the keyboard for Stepmanina)...so...Light on pad vs. Heavy/Challenge on keyboard.

And yea I've only tried it at the arcade once...sue me...not a bad start for being on Light but...eh...I might get back to arcade soon enough.

Well, I haven't played actual DDR, but I have Stepmania, and I love that. I've just never really done it on a pad before, I've only used the keyboard so far. I hope to play DDR in an arcade sometime though.

I just started on standard a few days ago. I can do light easy with no problems, but getting Cs and Ds on standard, some Bs. I like playing at home, I keep the machine on and when im bored I get jiggy, tired, come back to the computer and switch the channel. Its much more fun at the arcade because people watch you, and its different songs then on my game. At least an hour a day. My feet hurt....

I've been doing a lot on Stepmania with the 1st-8th mix bumper packs. For the most part Standard is no problem anymore for me, though Heavy is still a bitch for the most part... 8-footers are my limit for now. Keyboard? Pshaw. RedOctane Ignition 2.0. I haven't actually played in the arcades but I hope to soon.

That said, I tried the keyboard again a little while ago and... now I suck with it.

I made this thread was because I just want to see how many people like DDR. I know it sounds like a dumb reason but that is why I made the thread.

No, I hate DDR with a passion. That's why I own Ultramix, two dancemats that I have modified into a doubles pad for PC/X-Box, have all the official Konami songs on my computer, and pump $10 bi-weekly into an arcade machine > I also seem to be decent. I can pass some 9 footers, a couple of 8 footers, and any 7 footer.

Well to begin with you don't NEED to play DDR/Dancing Stage on a dancemat, you can play it just fine using a joypad, all the while being sat down and "relaxed". But yes, there IS DDR for a keyboard, it's called "Stepmania" it's a DDR/ParaParaParadise/Beatmania emulator for the PC, you can download all the songs for free and it rely kicks arse, but it does hurt my fingers,
