Umm..the closest I've become to skateboarding was doing races in Toys R Us in circles sitting on it and trying to do it the regular way but other than that I've never owned one or tried it besides that one time. I know I would suck at it and I did for that moment so I see no reason to practice or try to get better  |

| I've been able to blade/skate since I was about...eight or nine. Rollerblades first before the Roller Skates, dunno why, but I did. It's just I didn't -do- it enough. Now that doesn't really drum along the lines of the skateBOARD but hey...people still try to do 360s with them and think blading backwards is...if I recall the phrase correctly...'tripped out'. Like Ziff said, I wasn't out to be a perfectionist about it, it's just something I could do and something I could tell my kids about later in life. I have balance! Skateboarding in itself isn't retarded. But the mindless idiots are.  And skateboarding doesn't breed mindless idiots. Those mindless idiots would be mindless idiots with or without skateboarding, anyway. That being said, I've never done skating, and I don't think I'd be very good at it either. |

| I can skate sort of. I can Olly. Sometimes, I pull of a kick flip. I learned how to do those things in about 2 weeks. not bad, i think. But since then, i got lazy and never picked up the board again. For a while, inmy living room, people would practice allies and flips. I had a small 4 foot by 4 foot area where people would just hop up and down. just outside of the area was the couch, and a old style console TV that sat ont he floor. At least 10 times a night, somone would shoot the board into someone's shins as they sat on the couch, or into the picture tube of the TV. Damn, those were the days. :'( Alot of people came over to my apartment in those days. And from my short time in skating, the best skaters were the poeple that i had no idea could skate. The people that LOOKED like skaters.. the ones that fit the stereotypical part.. they coudlnt do shit compared to the average joe's that stopped by and said "Oh neat, a board, mind if i play with it?". But really, Since the title is "Skater Punk", i gotta mention the music. THE SUICIDE MACHINES FUCKING KICK ASS. |

| Ziff: I see NOBODY using their skateboard to get from point A to point B. They always carry it around with them and then decide to screw around with it on some large plot of concrete. And I'm aware a 360 is "nothing" in skateboarding terms, but they keep trying stupid stuff like that and keep crashing and burning. I'd LIKE to meet someone around here who actually uses their board as a mode of transportation. |

| I attempted skateboarding a couple years ago. I even invented my own trick: Step 1: Perform a kickflip Step 2: When landing, bring your foot backwards. Step 3: The postion of your foot should send your board crashing into your groin. Step 4: Success! Needless to say, I don't skate much anymore. |
