I picked up FATA's "The Fiction We Live" for $15.99 at samgoody on friday. While not as good as their last cd(which is amazing BTW), they tried to go for a softer approach on their new label(Vagrant), and I think that they pulled it off sucessfully. not long until the new NIN! |

CD. The Kovenant/Covenant - Nexus Polaris Stabbing Westward - Ungod The SW one was a dollar. I'm soon to make a pretty hefty haul... DVD. Short Circuit Need to get more money to buy the Adult Swim DVDs coming out, and the ones already out that I don't have. EDIT: Ah, here we go... The rest of them. Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus/Despised Icon - Split Carcass - Heartwork Cephalic Carnage - Exploiting Dysfunction Cephalic Carnage - Lucid Interval Cephalic Carnage - Anomalies Circle of Dead Children - Exotic Sense Decay Circle of Dead Children - Human Harvest Corrosion of Conformity - Wiseblood Despised Icon - The Healing Process Ed Gein - It's a Shame... Extol - Undeceived Faith No More - King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime Gorguts - Obscura Mastodon - Lifesblood The Number Twelve Looks Like You - An Inch of Gold for an Inch of Time Opeth - Still Life [digipak] Pentagram - Relentless The Red Chord - Clients Zao - Where Blood and Fire Bring Rest I also did what I'd never thought of doing anytime soon, and that's purchase some vinyl records--two singles and an EP. Which ones? Lucky Pierre - Fans and Cameras Lucky Pierre - Stetsons Lucky Pierre - Communique Why? 'Cos this is Kevin McMahon! Most of the songs on the Communique EP later got re-recorded for Prick's self-titled...one of my top 5 favorite albums. Prick's The Wreckard, and LuckyPierre's ThinKing are also excellent, great, magnificent, fantastic CDs. So I'm obsessed...and I need more! No turntable yet... I'll have to go to my friend's, see if I can listen on his. Anybody know a turntable that's fairly inexpensive but really good? Where would I buy it? I just bought The Killers "Mr. Brightside" single. Although I already have the Hot Fuss album, I wanted to buy this single because it has two previously unreleased tracks: Somebody Told Me Remix and Who Let You Go. Me loves da Killers.

Originally posted by O.G.Originally posted by Abnormal Freak Lucky you guys who got to pick it up on release day... I had to wait the very next day to get it, which brings me to my next point... Nine Inch Nails-With Teeth Currently listening to it right now (ironically the title track)... pretty kickass so far... wait, who am I kidding? It IS kickass. Also, on DVD: Blade: Trinity-Unrated version Trinity by far is the most unusual of the three (though unusual can be either good or bad, it all depends), but it also has by far the best cast of them all. Wesley Snipes is just that... Snipes, need I say more? Ryan Reyonalds plays a comical hero and is the source of all (or most) of the comedy in the movie, and Jessica Biel... wow, when I think of her, I think perfection. Put her in a Blade flick, and she really raises the roof off the joint... I find it unrealistic how she man-handles whordes of men in that movie, though... maybe her character, Abagail Whistler, was meant to be that skilled and swift, I dunno (after all, she IS a Vampire-hunter). And then there's HHH... wrestling fans may want to start booing when they hear his name, but I thought he did a good job in this movie... not too shabby for a film debut. The new Pig Destroyer? Do you mean Terrifyer? Hell yeah it's good. Awesome grindcore right there...but I'm not really familiar with PD's other stuff, so I can't compare. (edited by Abnormal Freak on 05-09-05 10:55 AM) |

Well, I've bought quite a few CD's lately, but none of them really matter at this point in time, as The Album of The Year (possibly the decade) was released today. Everyone should get Don't Believe The Truth. Oasis are back, and they are returning to the kind of artistry that made them the greatest, biggest, bestest band in the world 10 years ago!

Screw that, album of the year will probably be dredg's Catch without Arms! I love it so much. I got Necrophagist's Epitaph, because Willowtip mistakenly sent me that instead of Nasum's Shift, so I decided to keep it and ordered the Nasum album again. |

Most of the songs have been written for at least two years. I don't know why it's taken them so long. They did do quite a bit of touring though. Speaking of which, I saw them a few weeks ago, and they were fan-friggin'-tastic. Easily the best live performance I've been to yet, because they sounded so incredibly good. Gavin's voice is even better live. |
