Yes, the beah is 5 mins walk away, even my old home town was right by the beach. That said it's bloody freezing most of the time here and rains a lot so... not THAT lucky

I assume you have similar weather to what we have here (though I suspect your winter will be more mild, given the presence of a shitload of water nearby), which, continueing in that assumption, leads me to you having a fair chance of atleast 1 sunny month per summer. 'sides, beaches are nicer when it gets colder, they just seem to have a better atmosphere during fall and early winter. |

Oooh, I likes the looks of the buildings and stuffs, it looks purty And it's nice living near the beach, even when it's cold. I like watching the surf coming in when it's stormy; watching all the waves come in all choppy and wild! This is my home town, according the local council. They make it sound better than it really is It's a coastal city too, but I don't currently live near the beach. My Mum does though.... |

Here's my hometown. We're not on the beach, but it's only a couple of miles to the north, in the adjacent town. Our city's pretty nice, a lot of athletes from Cleveland like to live here, though I wish they would lift the ordinance against 24-hour businesses in town.

I don't really have a home town. Since my dad was in the army for the first six years of my life we were always moving. But I've been here(where I live now) the longest. And we don't plan on moving any time soon. |

Originally posted by Culotte Woah, some of those LaSalle photographs look a lot like Northern Ottawa. A lot of people think since Ottawa is Canada's capital it's going to be overpopulated and dirty. Well, thats not true. There is a lot of preserved wilderness in Ottawa and the atmosphere is well-maintained. Its also very spacious with no mass crowds or highly bustling areas, except in the minor form around downtown, which is understandable. If you wanna see the contrary to this, a general Americanization of a Canadian city, you go to Toronto. (edited by GB-K on 09-10-04 06:31 PM) |
