I got a used: Sony car discman ESP with -full illumination- porteble cd player with no remote (the guy lost it), that is soposed to light up the buttons and the little window but, I don't know how to turn on the lights. So, what buttons do I have to press to turn them on?

You could try searching the Sony website like what someone else said or just search it on the internet. Maybe someone will have the manual or something

Vol Up, Vol up, Vol down, Vol down, Next track, Previous Track, Next Track, Previous track, mode, stop, play.

That sounds like a cheat code for a game.

It's the Konami code. Just on a CD player.

That reminds me of the time I saw a Konami slot machine. The code didn't work.

Edit: Well, it's almost the Konami code. Switch the previouses and the nexts.

It's Play. Every discman that I've seen turns on with the "Play" button. Try it. Try it with batteries. Try it hooked into the wall. If it doesnt work, get your money back.

Xk: Then you remember it wrong.

Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.

Reminds me of a watch we got for a friend's kid a few months ago... Pretty recent digital watch, nice features, not bad for the price... but we could NOT figure out how to set the time. The instructions were terribly translated and the button combos it said to press just weren't working.

We ended up taking it back for a refund.

Congratulations! You have unlocked the secret character!

On topic, I make it a rule never to buy electronics at a garage sale or the like. They never work.
