So me and my family come home from dinner tonight to find a flier stuck in our other car's windshield. Now, normally, we would be fine with it, but they put a flier ON a car that was IN OUR DRIVEWAY!!! Thats going a bit too far, wouldnt you think?

If only people would realize that the more they advertize that way, the LESS likely they are going to get business .

Anyone else agree with me on this

I opened my front door tonight to go throw out some garbage, and a flier fell out of it, telling me to vote for my town councilman, district #3.

That's one of those little slices of the pizza of life that got just a little too much burnt crust.

Hey, if they can't get their messages out through e-mail, they'll do it in person. It's the new spam.

It could be worse. You could have that Wendy's guy waking you up at night.

Could be a lot worse...I know of some guy that's selling the back of his head on eBay to advertise anything, tatooed of course...and stuff for his car, will travel.

I think his opening price was around 60K USD.

The new spam? You mean the old spam that's been around since before the term 'spam'. And technically, putting fliers in mailboxes is illegal, so I guess I can see why they put it on your car, though the door is the best place, I think.

I have a thumb of rule.

If a certain advertising annoys me, be it on the net, "real world" or on TV. I boycott that product.

You more commercial people get, then more they ignore it...

That's really messed up. If someone did that to me, I'd have to put a flyer of my own on their car.

My system is simple: The more annoying the commercial, the less chance I'll do business with them. Anyone who uses popup ads or spam is instantly boycotted. Staples has also managed to make this status thanks to their oh-so-great commercials.

The only time I can remember any form of advertising persuading me to buy something was when I was in a supermarket, and I saw these bottles of water, and they had the best labels ever. They were really funny in a sarcastic sort of way, right up my alley, so I bought some, just because their labels were awesome.

I especially hate it when they put a flyer on the car and it rains and then it gets stuck and it makes a mess...
