I love them! Some of my favourites are Commander Keen, Jazz Jackrabbit, Xargon, Epic Pinball, and Jill Of The Jungle. I even bought a 75MHz computer for 20 bucks so I could play those games. Stupid Windows XP... I hate it so much... >.>. Anyways, does anyone else have computer that they use for DOS games and still use? Also: what are some other great old games?

Stunts all the way! Too bad I lost that game 9 years ago. Oh yeah, there's always Doom, Doom II, Warcraft, and Warcraft II...

Thexder, created by Sierra Online.

Go download it now. It's a fun little shooter where you're a mech with heatseeking lasers.

Not sure if anyone's ever heard of them, but I used to have Death Rally (top-down battle racer) and Stargunner (horizontal shooter)... ridiculously fun, awesome music to boot. They were both Apogee offerings, if I'm not mistaken.

I've only played one CK, Goodbye Galaxy... friend got a big-ass shareware CD with an old comp they picked up.

For your "old computer emulation" needs.

Actually it's just a x86 emulator with a modified version of Freedos. I think it's Freedos. (x86 is the processor type used in IBM PC's )

And oh, my favorites are Doom, Doom II, Descent, Descent II, Duke3D but all thoose have windows ports.

Jetpack is another favorite, and it runs well on modern computers. And it's was made freeware by it's author, search for it on the net.

And let's not forget the wonderful world of ZZT...

JETPACK.

I used to make impossible levels for that and tell my friends otherwise when they tried so long to beat them. So much wasted time

I love playing Commander Keen, but recently I've discovered Scumm VM, which allows you to run the LucasArts adventure games flawlessly on modern PCs. Apparently it also runs other adventures like Simon the Sorcerer

Did anyone say "Stunts"? I LOVED that game back in the day. I used to play it at my cousins house.

Scorched Earth is also one of my favorites...

Oh crap, Jill of the Jungle brings back MEMORIES.

Like the EPIC thing. Keep jumping into that and it'd make noise. And don't forget transformations.

C'moooon...How can you forget Scorched Earth? With as many Gunbound fans as there are now...you can't forget the original concept of blowing up someone good.

Back on the 286, 12MHz (with TURBO button!), 1024K RAM, 40 MB HD space, VGA color, DOS only comp of mine.

EDIT: Okay, Neko didn't forget it...but this game owns.

I remember Jetpack! That game was fun! Do you have a link to it?

EDIT: I loved Scorched Earth. When I first played Gunbound, I was like "This is a Scorched Earth ripoff..... cool!"

Zany Golf crushes everything under its pointy, steel cleats. And then putts it into a pinball machine.

It's actually almost playable in XP's version of DOS, too. Just runs really fast.

Let's see... almost anything by Apogee/Epic is good. There's also a ton of neat text-based sports sims.

I remember when I first got the full version of Wolf3D... Poor little me didn't even know it was illegal.

I haven't found my Vault CD yet, so the only DOS games on my computer I still play are ZZT and MegaZeux, both are old ASCII game creation systems that still have a following.

Oh man those games bring back memories. Ever played Kilo? That's pretty fun too, along w/ the Doom games I played on DOS.

Actually I've never played Kilo (Isnt it Kiloblaster) or Doom.
