Work offline, which I find rather useless anyway.

That's amusing.

...I so love when companies use TM for everything.

I use work offline a few times when I had dial-up. When you have broadband you seldom need it...

And the AOL browser, I wouldn't be surprised if it's based on the IE one.

AOL's browser -IS- IE. See the "Advanced Internet Properties" box? That opens up IE's "Internet Settings" config menu. XD

It's just fucked up (going to a few sites will fuck it up, heh) and a few other things. Like a 'vault' which is probably something like favorites and something else... (or even worse, Work Offline. Yuck.)

There's also a really nifty glitch in AOL that they STILL haven't fixed yet (it has existed since AOL 4.0 and they're at Shit.Oh-- er, 9.0-- now)

Try dragging the edges of the "Connecting..." window. Not only is it a non-fixed dialog box, it's resizable.

You can make it wider than the lame picture they have and it'll just fuck up more... haha.

AOL is good for a few laughs but it's horrible as an ISP.

The sad fact is that many people have no clue what that is anyways...

Go figure that AOL takes advantage of stupid people

I never found work offline good for anything really

It's beyond me why a single programmer make programs without resizble windows but a large company wtih alot of employes can't.

And oh, AOL would never do well here. People aren't as stupid here, and there is even a tv program about companies behaving badly. AOL wouldnt' survive a week here.

*Looks at AOL Icon shortcut on desktop*

*Shudders*

Well, I'm running on a free ISP right now, tons better than AOL. I use Yahoo for email (Like tons of people)

It's much better that way, and my connect is 100000 times more stable.

I wish that you could just connect to the ISP without using the damn client though. It would almost be as fast as this free stuff right here. *Laughs*

I had AIM, I got so tired on the commercials. Sure MSN have commercials too, but they aren't the annoying kind and they dosen't pop-up or making sounds.

Yeah, but the problem with spyware (if it was AOL) would be that removing it would likely be a breach of the ToS.

Then again, do they even enforce the ToS?

I've had c-faith, and netzero. But that's it.
Is AOL really that bad? Everything else is kinda slow.

It could be worse. It COULD be MSN Companion.

Reminds me of my good old dial-up days. When the connection was like that, I stopped with the internet for the day.

In ever had AOL, but I remember being disconnected every 2-3 minutes. And it wasn't my ISP's fault, it was my phone line.

I hate AOL but my mom for some fucked up reason likes it

Its kind of amusing, she gets kicked off like every other 5 minutes and I stay online for 5 days or so at a time (AOL never kicks me off but AIM does like every 20 hours )

I have broadband right now, and dialup sucked a bunch. Everytime I got a call I was kicked and it made me mad. Basically I got messages saying, "No ff11 for you!"

Ahem. The pedant in me wants to note that a non-fixed dialog box is by definition resizable, and that it shouldn't be necessary to explicitly point that out. All of me, on the other hand, wants to note that that's fucking retarded.
