Kawa thing is, you can't trade with Sapphire until those freeking islands. Isn't it lame. At least, that's how it was for Japan, I'm pretty sure they kept that like that....if you get any Hoenn's or even non-fire red Johto's, they STOP mid evolution. On their own. Until you enable RS trading. Isn't that cheap? So much for rading my trusty Bagon for a Dratini and Colleen...hehe, your team. I'm gonna assume you plan to switch out kakuna and metapod a little later on, but i'm interested...are you more of a Butterfree man, or Beedrill? Almost everyone perfers Butterfree because of it's half-psychic nature. I think I'm all alone with my Beedrill loving |

I remember that I used Beedrill in Red/Blue, so I think I'll stay with that path. They're both evolved but I'll stick Beedrill on my team for now and slowly level it up.

...goooood question. I didn't think about box at all ; but it would still do that evolution "lock", I beleive. It would make you wait until you had the international Pokedex like you are supposed to

Originally posted by MajinBlueDragon Here's the thing, I took the time to raise both to Lv. 100, and overall, it's just smarter to go the Butterfree path. While it is great that Beedrill has some decent Normal or Poison techs...that's about it...and it's stats at Lv. 100 aren't that great either. Not even a flying type. Course, anything that revolves around SPECIAL (Fire, Water, Grass, Psychic, etc.) attacks were deemed a hell of a lot more than PHYSICAL (Normal, Ground, Rock, Fighting, etc.) because everyone seemed to have less of a Special Defense than a Defense period. I mean that's why a lot of people look to see what Pokemon they can get that are close to Mewtwo's level of strength in that category (i.e. an Alakazam or a Gengar will do well in a pinch). Btw... That's how I'm doing. Just got done beating Lt. Surge. |

this would be my team just after Lt. Surge...yep, I kept Fearow around he'll probbaly end up replaced in due time, but I figure for now if the team aint broken, don't fix it I'd still like some suggestions of wether or not Primeape should be kept around, though... Rash nature, 79 hp, 72 attack, 46 defense, 50 sp. attack, 44 sp. def. and 71 speed. Knows Mega Kick, Rock Tomb, Seismic Toss and Brick Break. Should I put a Poliwag/Poliwrath on my team despite it being another fighter, or should I drop Primeape for him. In any case, would Hitmonlee be a better choice than one or both? Thanks in advance...usualy I'm good with this stuff on my own but its been a while.. |

Why the hell did you evolve Nidorino at such a low lv? Hmm...I don (edited by Mileena Suck on 09-01-04 02:19 PM) |

at level 22, he learned Horn Attack. After that, the only thing he gets is Helping Hand, Fury Attack, Flatter, and Horndrill (despite it being 1-hit KO, its extremly innacurate). I didn't see much point since I probably would have already replaced alot of those with TM's by now, so I figured I'd evolve him then and still alow Nidoking to learn Rage in the process.

And it's not like I'd keep much for Nidoking after HORN ATTACK (rather accurate 60-power attack). It's a good normal, but if I get HYPER BEAM (150 rather accurate attack, wait a turn after unless it's old Blue/Red then it's before like SOLAR BEAM), that's a hell of a lot better (even though I doubt I do, it's a possibility). More than likely I'll pile a lot of Ground/Poison moves on him, physical attack stuff. I evolved him at 24.

still he would have missed thrash which I wanted for the time being...right now he has thrash, rockslide, horn attack, and double kick. pretty decent for now, and when I get toxic later I'll teach him that (I still have my dig TM saved too..)

Rhydon sucks. EARTHQUAKE isn't bad, and it's relatively accurate, but like you said, it does nothing against Flying types.

I'm positive they changed all the TM's around by the looks of things. Some of them seem to be new attacks, but then again I never bothered to count all the R/B attacks.

If I'm not mistaken... All of the TMs in the game are from R/S. The old R/B/Y TMs are instead taught by the move tutors who are in random places (i.e the Mega Punch and Mega Kick guys outside Mt. Moon.). Also, either way, Toxic is still a TM move. Just don't ask me which one. |

Uh...yea...he can learn it...but think about it...you're giving Thunder...to a Poison/Ground type. What's wrong with this picture? |
