I dunno where to put this, but its my day so far:

Today, in Coventry, RI, it was snowing pretty heavily when I went to school.

In homeroom there was rumblings, and everyone was mad that it wasn't cancelled, but there was hope for an early dismissal.

As first period is about to close (I had gym), the fire alarm goes off. This is hardly uncommon, as last year we led the state in pulls.

We stand outside, me in shorts and a T, in 25 degree weather for about 10 minutes before they let us into the gym.

There, we waited for something for 30-40 minutes before our principal came around telling us we were dismissed.

What had happened? Somebody set off a smoke bomb, causing the alarm to go off. Although it got me out of class, it was still dangerous...and stupid.

Especially in cold wearther. Maybe whoever did that, knew that doing that would be the only way to get out of school earlier.

I just can't get over the fact that it's still snowing up north.

They didn't know, but I guess it didn't matter to them anyways. No loss for them.

And yeah, here it is, days before spring, with 6-7 expected.

Not too long ago, it was snowing in phoenix, arizona. It wasnt much, barely enough to gather up a snowball.

And guess what? people were pissed off because they didn't get a snow day!

That reminds me, with every fire drill in the snow, comes snowballs brought inside.

I'll admit, it was funny watching a snowball go from one side of the gym to the other, and plow somebody in the back of the head.

I always wear shorts when there is 25 degree outside... unless your talking about fahrenheit.

I rembember that the alarms did go off so often on my old school that some of the teachers took it easy. (later they fixed it so they wouldn't go off becuse of the expriments in the chemistry class...)

Yes it was F, forgot that not everybody uses that.

And we have the detectors basically everywhere but the bathroom, and science rooms.

Strange how the weather contrasts on either side of the Atlantic: Yesterday there was (Crappy) thunder and HUGE-ARSE Hailstones. Seriously, these were the size of buses

And today was very sunny, rained when I was walking home and is now sunny again. It usually only snows once a year here, and last years was crap, it didn't even stick, there wasn't enough of it.

It snowed here (southern Borders) today as well, but it only stuck for about an hour or so.

We're looking at a bit more sleet over the next week, but after that we should be into Spring!

WOW. 50's would be like sweat inducing just standing around after the temps we've had.

I have been struck with snow and some icy conditions in CT myself, the ground was partially frozen too, but I still had to shovel some snow this week or else there would of been a slippery driveway to deal with.

I feel like that winter had lasted for 5

You know, I was thinking...when we used to have bomb threats and the likes at my high school, they would make us all go outside. And instead of being on the other side of the fence, we had our backs against us. So if anything was found or did blow up, we would be screwed.

I live in Vermont, so I've just had it worse off. It's too cold, and when the snow is about the melt lately, another half foot falls out of the sky

We haven't had any bomb threats while I was here (I'm a sophomore) but the year before we had one.

Not cool in this day and age, but effective in dispersing school.

There was one kid at my school about a couple of years ago who was infamous for calling in bomb threats. One year, a pipe bomb was actually found, and our school was on the local news that night.

Forutnately for the rest of us, he's graduated now.
