I think you're under the assumption that Christians think they're perfect in every thing they do. But that's far from the truth. Trying to banish homosexuals from the country (or anything to that extreme) is wrong according to our faith. Let me elaborate a little more. In Christianity, yes homosexuality is a sin. According to us, with God no one sin is greater than any other. They all have the same consequence. Also, it says "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall recieve mercy." (Jesus said that.) With that in mind, you can clearly see that even from a Christian viewpoint, what they're doing is wrong and against our faith. They're trying to single out one sin and make it seem worse than any other which is clearly wrong. If they wanted to be more "accurate" they'd have to banish EVERYONE from the country. Christianity is based on love, and what they're doing is an act of hate. Just because someone calls himself a Christian, doesn't neccessarily mean he follows the same values he/she is expected to uphold. Many of them don't actually. |
