All of their limit breaks suck.

But seriously, in FFVIII, those three characters never undergo a change of costume.

Yes they do...
Zell: SeeD uniform once he passes the exam.
Quistis: SeeD uniform for the exam at Doel.
Rinoa: Wearing a dress at the dance after the exam.

Back on topic, all three have physical and ranged based limit breaks?

Zell and Quistis have excellent limit breaks.

This is a hard one; I'll have to think about it.

This was just a simple 1-point set, so NSNick has the correct answer for this one.

SCORE:
Grey -- 7 points
Heian-794 -- 6 points
NSNick -- 5 points
Ed & Clockworkz -- 1 point each

It seems I forgot to post the Mystery Character/Person last set, so here it is now:

SET #11: franc, peso, yen
MYSTERY CHARACTER/PERSON #1, CLUE #1 (5 POINTS): Unthought of ally in an RPG game

APH, they're not foreign if you live in Mexico, France, or Japan.

And the French franc has been dumped in favor of the euro.

As for an answer, I'll say that they're all currencies that have experienced terrible inflation (peso had to be re-valued recently; as did France's franc after it lost a ton of value after WWII, and Japan's yen used to be worth more than a dollar and is now less than a cent!)

Another answer could be that they're all made of smaller units (centimos, centimes, and sen/rin/mon) which are now, due to the above-mentioned hyperinflation, defunct.
