| To the untrained eye, it's pretty much what you said. Technically it is still a full - but compact - computer, with some PCI ports and stuff excluded. It won't be a laptop until it loses a bit of weight, can run off the laptop model - basically, everything inside the motherboard with a few options like PC-card slots. It is nice that you (with an extra VESA mount) can hang it on the wall though.  It also seems to be a lot of bang for your buck. Show me a $1,200 PC with the same capabilities - an 80GB Serial ATA drive, 17" LCD display, Firewire, USB 2.0, stereo speakers, and I guess also software to make your own music, a light office suite, encyclopedia and two games (yes, I said games) - in the box. Now try to hide it behind said LCD display. |
