umm, at the risk of sounding like a scene out of "mouse hunt", there is a mouse in my bedroom. i shut the door, so he's in here somewhere but i can't find him. its 3:30 am, i've been searching for 4.5 hours for the mouse, and my cat's in here giving me a hand. unfortunately for me, there are no 24 hour mouse trap selling places around here, so i'm stuck til tomorrow. i'm assuming that i'll be sleeping downstairs on the couch... that is if i can get to sleep now. i'm creeped out. so, if you have a room as messy as mine... watch out for apple cores that are left on the floor for more than a year... they tend to attract rodents. and that just makes your father bitch at you for an hour straight about how food and drink is no longer allowed in your bedroom anymore... yeah i had a fun night tonight.

sorry but.....LOL.....ok it's outta my system

Not to much you can do right now to catch it, you could try and lure it with some food then trap it in a box or something...but good luck with that.

and its only a mouse....not gonna kill ya in your sleep or anything, unless your an over sized block of cheese....

*begins to wonder....*

Just keep one eye open when you try to sleep...and a frying pan in hand, you'll be alright!

Haha, you're afraid of mice. You're such a girl. >=)
We had a mouse in our old house home, and it would hide in this pantry with kitchenware and stuff. We like put a trap with food, and the floor was sticky, so when it ran on the floor it would not be able to get unstuck. We unstuck it ourselves (I think the idea is to kill it though) and then threw it in our neighbor's yard. Only issue we had in the end was the droppings left on all the pots and pans.

Leaving food for days in you room is anyway not recommended at all; there are worse and more disgusting "new pets" which could come - consider roaches and other nice insects/bugs
As for mice - clean up your room (!) and then buy those traps when you get the opportunity to get to the next shop ....
Also check how it came into your house. If there's a hole somewhere - close it. More mice might require an "exterminator" serrvice, depending if there are more mice and if it is hard to get them out of the house at all.

yeah... um... well... i think i'm going to cry and puke at the same time. the mouse was pissing me off... but it was adorable. my cat just.... crushed it in her jaws, yet it was still alive and breathing heavily in the cats mouth and my cat just walked around the room with the poor thing like that. i'm going to cry. or puke. or both at the same time most likely. the cat killed the poor thing. and bled it. on my carpet. and a bathtowel that i will NEVER use again. its 4 in the morning so i dont know what to do with it, so i have one of those disposeable glad containers... with the mouse in it... on the deck. until tomorrow morning when i'll figure out what to do with it. i feel so bad i think i'm going to be a really dumbass and bury it tomorrow morning. or as early as i can wake up since the mouse only got caught at 3:30/4 am.

When I was younger I remember one night my bird was going nuts in it's cage. So I got up from bed and pulled back the covers, and there was a mouse inside the cage! Just sitting there! I'm still unsure how it got in there, but I heard that mice can squeeze through tiny places.

I have seen mices going under a entrance door at school, so they do fit in tight places.

When I was 3-5 year old and lived in my old house (I moved when I was 5-6) we had mices. I don't have any memories of the mices but my mom rembember that I said I saw them, at there was a terrible smell in the bedroom.

Luckily we hadn't had any mices in this new house. If there are, they are under the house.

We have a mouse in our house right now. But it's not in any of the rooms, no, it's inside the walls, that damn thing. I've heard it crawling in the walls, and the ceiling under my parents bedroom, but I've never seen it.

My mom has seen it once, though, when she opened the closet in the kitchen where we keep the garbage... so now we've got it outside of the closet, to prevent the mouse from messing around with it.

We haven't tried traps, but we tried one of those things you just plug into an electrical output, which makes a high pitched sound only animals can hear, which is supposed to scare off the mouse.. however, that didn't work (the mouse is still here) and our dog didn't seem to like it (he was shaking and his tail was hanging, until we took it out again)..plus it also made this annoying ticking sound.

We're still not sure where that little bastard got in, though, but it would have to get in somewhere.

Eh, thoose devices are proven worthless. The mices hear that sound, but they just get used to it.

A consumer show proved them useless, and a scientists the same.

It just scares pets.

Luckily, I never this problem. Even if I always keep food in my room. Not like they could survive staying in here for too long.

Last year we had this problem. Except with about 4 rats living in my room...And a couple of mice.

I managed to catch them all with my hands, and then I released them all into a forest so I didn't feel guilty about killing them.

We had mice or rats or whatever in our attic. We put traps and stuff up there and eventually they all died and so the problem is solved. Never had them in the house..but we have had..uh..roaches .

We had a mouse in our house one night. It hid in our pantry... which was bad.

I had to beg my dad not to use the traditional Snap/kill mousetraps... I cant stand the thought of killing a mouse Or any other furry rodent that can be cute...

Cleaning your room will definately help, as everybody else has said.

The only thing really that gets messy in my room is the occassional bowl, and my bed. O.o

Controller cords sometimes get tangled, but they bug me so much, they aren't entangled for long.
