Wow! Nice going Fusoya! Nice bragging rights too.

Oh, and for all those who said ROM Hacking hasn't been seen in American magazines are dead wrong. They've been featured/mentioned several times by several magazines.

Nothing this specific albeit.

Oh yeah, FuSoYa is linking to Acmlm board...

This will attract more members on this board, at least members that is intrested in SMW hacking.

Edge is an big magazine, I have seen it in shops which imports magazines from other countries.

Congrats FuSoYa, I just hope that you won't receive angry letters now from Nintendo...

I wonder if Japan would be like this and take Japanese hacks, like Anikiti's, KT's, etc. And if FuSoYa's address goes on the press, we can steal the LM source code and the movement pipe ASM code from his house!
If you want our SMW hackers to read this, move it into the respective forum, considering the topic.
Canada's government doesn't care about its citizens doing American ROM hacking, from what I can see.

How many of you General Chatters have played Demo World: The Legend Continues anyway?

In General Chatters, I meant, non-SMW hackers.

Yes, I think this is a first. Fu read this thread, right? Somebody PM him to make sure...

Edge is the gaming magazine for serious gamers. They did an article on CAVE, which is located in my city and this gives me all the more reason to go to town and buy it.

Um, I got a letter published on PlayNation a few years ago.. if that counts =)

Um.. I got a christmas present from Unsaco, the guys who deal with Nintendo stuff in Norway.

You know, that Zelda collection disk with the NES and N64 games. They gave out free games to all the mods on their forum.

Oh, that news is cutting edge, wheeee
We already noticed a rapid increase of new SMW hackers since more since about a year ago; but to see FuSoYa's precious editor in a magazine, is quite neat and he deserved it
This is similar to one person in the German RM2k scene. "Marlex" created Vampires Dawn and later the game made it onto a CD from a famous game magazine, thus getting a shitload of new people registering on some RM2k boards too (at least on "our" one where I post regularly ^^)

Let's see if ROM hacking will get more and more popular or not

I don't know if WE'D stand to benefit - certainly FuSoYa's site will get an increase in visitors, and perhaps a few will migrate over here... but I'm not expecting a torrent of new users.

I don't think it'll do anything for rom hacking itself, but it certainly might kickstart the SMW community and/or give FuSoYa's site a crapload of hits.

And a crapload of annoying e-mails too.
