I can't stand it, honestly. I get to sleep later and later as time progresses...and its bothering me. What if i don't get myself on a decent schedule before classes start up in the fall. I mean, my earliest class is 10AM and that would mean me waking up at 9-9:30 just to get there on time.

and for those of you who are wondering, i currently fall asleep at like 5AM-7AM and don't wake up until sometime between 11 and 1PM.

I had the exact same problem, so instead of going to sleep at 7-8AM i just didn't and by about 8PM I just fell asleep out of exhaustion and I woke up at about 6AM and i was tired by 10-11PM so it works out well. After I did that I just fell back into schedule.

This happens to me every now and then when I get out of my usual schedule. I would suggest setting an alarm to wake you up, and setting a time to "go to bed" (even if you can't fall asleep right away at that time). Gradually your body should condition to it, and adapt to the change rather easily.

You know what? You have exactly the same sleeping schedule, somehow I did wake up at 8:00 AM and wasn't that tired. But that's was very unlike me, many timees I have eaten breakfeast at 1:00.

I try going to sleep earlier, but it just happens that i'm awake for two hours being restless in bed... jay. ~_~

My sleep pattern is so wierd that I would not experince any jet lag if I did travel to US, heck I sort of follow the US timezone in terms of being awake currently. Damn internet.

Once I got somewhat in a normal pattern by doing one thing, being up until the next night... and sure I was sleepy.

My sleeping schedule sucks too. Usually I don't go to bed reaaally late. Like on school nights I'd usually go to bed at 10:30 or 11 and get up at 6:30 so I got used to getting 7 hours which isn't bad compared to a lot of other people. Eh just lately I've been going to bed at 1 or 2 or maybe a little bit later but I should fix that if I want to get up at 6:30 like I used to..

I used to eat breakfast around 12 or 11 . To get used to my regular sleeping pattern in the beginning of school I plan on just using the alarm clock like usual and trying to go to bed earlier.

My sleep schedule is exactly the same as yours. Except I'm going to need to get up at 7am to get to class on time . You can either stay up all "night" one day, or you can just try to fall asleep earlier. When I was working over the summer I was getting 2 - 4 hours of sleep just because I was used to going to bed so late. (And I didn't have any other free time because I was working all day). It's really not so bad once you get used to it, but you really shouldn't try to get used to it...

I have the same problem...this is why I don't work in the mornings. I tend to go to bed around 5am or 6am and I'll wake up around noon. I really don't mind it that much, since I don't have to be at work until 4pm.

I would start to set my alarm for 10am, then work your way down to 8am. If you wake up early, you'll get tired earlier and hopefully go to bed sooner.

I feel asleep a lot while in school...mainly because I was working as well (I'm talking about high school). I would get out of school at 3:30pm, get to work around 5:00pm and work until midnight, go home, do homework or whatever that I didn't do at work, then wake up at 5:30am to do it all over again.

I sleep more during summer than during schooldays. I got used sleeping too much lately. And now I'm going to have to sleep from 1:00 am to 6:00am.

Yeah, I'm having a minor version of that same problem..

I'm just setting my alarm earlier and earlier until I've set my schedule back on track...

Yet, sports are getting in the way.

I've personally found that, in college, it doesn't matter when your classes are, you end up going to bed at around 2AM anyway.

I happen to have a weird sleep schedule... no matter what time I go to sleep I'll usually wake up between 6-8 AM... even if I do go to sleep around 5 AM... and the weird thing is, is that I usually don't feel tired at all unless I pull a couple days in a row without much sleep.

Hope you can find some remedy for your problem Valcion. Maybe try alarm clocks and various other things to get you up on time...

Oh I had that problem going to bed last night just to get up at 7 AM to drive to an Art class at comm. college at 9 (8:40 really). Had to force myself to get to bed at about 11 PM.

It's because I let myself slide for many, many months. So getting back into the swing of things is a pain in the ass. But once you get used to it, even a person like me that bitches when he doesn't get enough sleep, you'll be fine.

Just gradually work your sleep schedule back if you can. Of course, the faster you get it back into reasonable terms, the better.

If nothing else, I can randomly IM you at midnight my time 'GO TO BED n00b!@!'.

Oh, I so hear that. All summer I've been falling asleep usually between 7-10am, waking up at 4-6pm. And even when I do manage to fall asleep early and wake up at a decent time, I end up just slipping back into nocturnal mode.

I think this is probably gonna be everyone here, but I do the same thing too. Except the latest I've fallen asleep regularly is almost 5 AM. But I almost HAVE to get up on a regular basis after noon. Even if it means ten hours of sleep, which I do NOT need at this age. (I can function on, say, four.) Maybe because I stayed up late in high school, but nothing of Anyaian proportions.

I dont really have that much of a problem... but I might if I keep what Im doing up.

I go to bed at midnight, and wake up at 7... so its not really that bad yet.

I find it just helps to make yourself go to bed, no matter how much your body doesnt want to. Eventually youll just get into the 'better' sleeping schedule...

If that doesnt work then... I dont know what to tell you

I'm suffering from a similar issue...the comparison is scary, as my slepe and awakening times are almost identical to yours...its rough, and I start sophomore year on thursday..best way to start the new school year, be late ; I been taking advantage of the summer, that's my problem...it's just a matter of adjustment, but its difficult as hell, I know
