*Shudders* Butterflies are declining. That's bad, because I love butterflies!

Seriously, human greed, anger and other negative things will most likely never be solved, so I think it's too late to save other species now. You could try, but eventually, all animals are going to go extinct, maybe even human. Yes, I have a negative attitude, but I'm entitled to my opinion, at least.

Wahh wahh humans are such assholes, we're going to kill all life on the planet to make money and oil, we don't deserve to live, blah blah blah animals are so cute, whine whine bitch and moan.

I'd like to see a world with zero pollution of any kind. I don't think we have the technology to maintain the kind of world we're so used to without cutting holes in the ozone (and other GLOBAL DISASTERS), and I doubt any of you would actually sacrifice your quality of life for the sake of wildlife. You can go ahead and say/type it, but when you are actually presented with the option, I'll bet less than 1% of you would actually take it.

I have no doubt that you people care, but I have tons of doubt that none of you care enough to actually do anything significant about it.

(BTW, at the end of the article it states that the largest extinction period killed off all but 4 percent of all species. We haven't put that much of a dent in the world populations, and I doubt we ever will. We've only been engaged in heavy industry for a little over 200 years, versus 4 1/2 BILLION years the Earth has existed. The Earth is NOT that fragile.)
