BTW: I have an MP3 CD player. I put 200MB worth of MP3s on a rewriteable CD and away I go. It never skips and choosing songs isn't a problem. So HA.
Of course, it didn't hold up too well to a whole lot of rain...

The only problem I have with Macs is that they look dumb...any OS is better than Windows.

God forbid you excersize your thumb a bit

If I can get an iPod free, though, I'll gladly praise it. After all, I wouldn't be the person paying for it.

Ziff's take on the name Apple.

It is misrepresentation. Apples taste good, Apple Computers taste and perform like shit.

I can't argue with that argumentation - such finely worded reasons why you don't like Apple computers.

I don't think a week-old thread is going to cause a meltdown.

More like this:
Play
Then I just let it play. I actually bother to put my songs in order so I don't have to sort through them every 3 minutes. Take that, iPod users who just dump their entire HD onto the damn thing.

OK, I guess I'll go ahead and chime in, just for the hell of it.
It's 10, I don't want to do my trig, and why not?

First off, yes, I have windows XP. I've had it for a year plus, and before that I used Win 95 on an old IBM.

As a kid, my dad would bring in old Macs from school, I don't really remember what they were, but they were cool at the time.
And last year I used some form of a Mac, again, I don't know what kind, but it wasn't really new. Well, one I'm not sure, and the other was a G4? I think, not too sure.

Maybe I had the wrong batch of computers, or something, but the one I was using just broke. I know it's a school computer and all, but there's not much that could be done to one. The teacher is in the room constantly, and the door is locked.
And about the mac, it just stopped working one day. Everything was in place, no cords out, no anything. It started humming like a bomb or something, and just eventually died. The teacher looked at it, and didn't know what the problem was, and the class ended so I never found out.
Real useful story, I know.
But in the short time I used that computer for, I found that it just crashed often for no reason. Just be working with photoshop, and oops, dead. Could just be a singular case, but I didn't really have a chance to use any others.

On my slightly larger windows experience, I can do a little rebuffing.
Well, to your iPod comments first Jesper.

I have a MP3 player, and you can talk about how much more an iPod can hold, but...I don't have the urge to put every song I've ever had on my playlist. I want 40 or so songs that will keep me busy for a road trip, study period, etc.
About the clicking: Never had a problem. Menu, play track, go and select. Simple.

Then about an OS we have problems with? Yes, my computer has locked up on more than one occasion, but because of something I did, such as run too many applications unknowingly, or some other silly little thing. But other than those times that it's been locked, I don't find XP to be a problem at all. Maybe I'm missing something, like perhaps the whole part where it crashes all the time due to random errors...

and now I have to go to bed, so this concludes that.

I have 20 playlists on the thing. I let them play. Occasionally I'll put on shuffle. But the point is it shouldn't take you three minutes to get to a specific song. Does it take you three minutes to find a specific song in Winamp? No? Then why would you put up with that kind of shit elsewhere?

Hello, Mac OS 9! It sure is nice to see your memory-management of the 80s face! Oh wait, it isn't.

I've used Windows XP for fully four years and six months now. I was one of those people who ordered a beta of it because I was sick of Windows Me. I've seen it crash (seemingly) unprovoked about 3 times. I've seen it crash repeatedly on startup on one occcasion due to bad device drivers. But that was my fault, not Windows.

Windows is great. It does 99% of the things I want to do. For 99% of the things it can't do, there's a well-designed, affordable/free tool out there on the internet. That doesn't bother me. This, amongst a few other things, bother me:
