You mean SMB3, right? There's no overworld in the rest of SMAS.

I'd also need to know how to add animations to the graphics... for the action panels... and how to use the level tiles to have the different numbers.

There aren't any Custom Animations for the OV, but you can change the Animations that the Ov already has, but there's not very many of them.

Action panels? Not sure what you mean by that.

And to change an Overworld-Level's # (for a specified Level tile), Hold Alt and Right Click on a Level Tile (it will open that Level Tile's Properties).

For my hack, I sacrified a lot of animations to add the dancing cactus from the SMB3 OV.

In World 1? um, that's a mountian. but it doesn't really matter.

But anyway, your definitely right about it having few animation spaces, you only get about 8 animation (8x8) tiles, which really sucks.

Action panel = Status bar. It's the bar where Mario's lives, coins and items are viewed.

Also, how to change the level number wan't exactly what he asked for. He ment that he wanted to make every level on the map look different. There's a simple solution. Make the Layer 1 level tiles invisible and make the level icons on Layer 2.

I would have never firugered out what he was actually trying to say.

Skateboarder11: Right now, the only animations that can be made to the Status Bar (Action Panel) , are palette animations. And that is determined by animating palettes 1& 2 for each level that you want them to be animated in. And (obviously) you only need to animate the colors that the Status Bar's gfx tiles are using (the're the colors that are near the end of the Palette, somewhere around colors B-F, and not all of them in that range.

Found out that it would make me have to drastically change my hack layout, so I can't use them ._. But I need the Demo World Desert OW gfx, and the Skyblazer Intro level (right after the title screen) graphics.

EDIT: added something to make my post easier to understand

I believe the Demo World Desert World thing was drawn by hand, I'm not sure. The Map16 stuff wasn't, obviously.
