I scanned my computer, and a few viruses have been delted. But two of them won't, and they won't since awhile now. They are: Downloader.1stbar.S and Trojandropper.Exebundle. I know that I can remove the first one by turning off system restore (I have no idea of how to do so) and then scanning. Ad for the second oneI don't know. So any idea? I run on Win98SE by the way. |

You have viruses on you computer that your virus scanner detects but can't remove? That's strange, but if that's the case you should reformat and reinstall windows because continuing to use your OS while there are known, unremovable viruses will only lead to a situation where your computer could become more messed up with time. Not to mention that I personally would hate the thought of having some a%#@holes virus on my machine that my anti virus couldn't deal with. No, it would be unacceptable to me. Another thing you can do in the future after you've reformatted is not to open any executables that come in email attachments...ever. Not even from people you know. Anything you download from anywhere(executables)should first be scanned. Good luck! | |||

Nah, It's fixed now. I totally forgot that I could remove viruses that are in program in use by restarting in safe mode + scan. Edit: Funny how it was only a Folder "Permission Refused" problem. Easily killed by the windows search function...hehehe. (edited by Cervantes on 08-26-04 05:17 PM) |
