DVD is better in every way. Better picture, sound, and extra stuff for the movies you love. It's pretty one sided.

DVD...For one thing, you get all the extra stuff. For another, most stores nowadays sell very little VHS stuff, if any at all.

We didn't even get a DVD player until Christmas 2002...

DVD. You can find a certain spot in a movie faster and they take up less room. Of course, I still have more VHS than DVDs, but the DVDs are on a shelf and the VHS are put away under the TV.

DVD, you dont have to rewind them
And, superior quality/sound/everything. Of course those nice bonuses, but you can manage without them.

No laserdisc? :/

Definately gotta say DVDs. For many of the reasons listed above, and for the fact that the next-gen systems (PS2, XBox, etc.) don't play VHS.

I would of went with VHS, mostly because some remakes don't make it to a DVD, sadly they are being phased out in favor of DVD , so my vote goes for DVD because they are today's standard for anything possible.

Yeah, guess I'll agree with DVD too like everyone else. Better picture quality and extra stuff. Only thing I don't like about DVD's is, well they are CDs, and can get scratched and not work as well. That's the only thing I hate about CDs. And yeah, it's slower recording to them.

I would say DVD, although I'd love to copy my whole wrestling tape collection to that format...

*looks at tapes*

...it would take a while.

I never minded rewinding/FFing actually. Our VCR's pretty fast when it comes to that.

DVD all the way, the sound, image are better, you dont need to FF and rewind all the time, you just have to select the scenes you want to watch to, it is much more comfortable to use
