| About the only murders around here are in Edmonton. Even those are rare. A couple years ago, though, two girls from Barrhead Composite High School, then known as J. R. Harris, died in a car crash 30 miles from Barrhead, Alberta. After my dad and I moved into the country last summer, I realized that crash site is less than half a mile away from my house. There's still two crosses and some flowers on the side of the road. |
