| odd.... there are usually less than 25 homicides in Calgary every year... there are other deaths... but, it's around 25 murders.... makes me feel rather safe actually  |

| There have been an murder where I live for some years ago. Big news in the whole country... Yeah the crime rates are that low in Sweden. There's a mass criminal outrage now in Toronto. People in Ontario, Maybe Quebec and Manitoba, and maybe some of the US know that a little 9-year-old girl got kidnapped from her house in October. I live near where she did, and our whole community (Pleasantview, North York, for any other Torontonians here) kind of got plagued...  Halloween got cut drastically.And this year, there were about 10 murders already.  |

| Not so many murders around here as there were suicides. It almost seems like we lose one or two people every year. I for one am glad I live in such a small town. Things could be a LOT worse... |

| One of my neighbors got murdered earlier this year. It sucks for the family, but I was sorta glad he wouldn't be around anymore, because he was an asshole of a policeman who threw a tantrum whenever something didn't go his way. Incredibly aggressive driver too. Well, not exactly murdered. More like the stepdad of the children came over, and then he shot the stepdad and then shot himself. I really only feel sorry for the stepdad and his family. |

| There's not been a murder around here for ages now - I can't honestly remember the last time there was one on the news. This area of town might look a bit run-down, but hey - the crime rate is so low that a new-ish bike can be left on a street - not protected or anything - and it won't be touched for days! (I think the owner put it back into the close at number 4 after Friday night...) |
