| I, ever the fan of overkill, once did a whole system for this. You'd click something called "Request name change", and enter the new name and a reason for name change. Then the admin would log in, and check a certain page, and either approve or reject the request, optionally with a reason. (The user could change the request at any time, including cancelling it.) You know, I might add this in now, and lower the bar so that full mods could also approve these requests. Opinions? |

| This would work, I think. Because that it's based on the approval so no real abbuse can be made, and it's easier to name change on request. | |||

| Well I rather contact a admin personally through MSN and such for a name change, it's quicker that way. And heh, I prefer that users must go through admins for renaming themself. Jesper's system would work great on a large board.  |

| A request thing is different because at least then we wouldn't be extremely confused. I always thought we should have an "original name" field viewable by mods/admins so that we know who certain people are with name switches. |
