| The admins are given their powers to keep the users who would normally cause trouble in line. As far as name changes in and of themselves go, I'd rather have my name changed as part of a fad than have the ability to change it on a whim, it makes my username less special, I kind of like it the way it is, unchangeable. While Keikonium's reason for it is definitely a good one, I don't much like sending admins PMs every time a new fad pops up and I'd rather be courteous about it so that I don't feel like I'm asking too much, at the same time there are some users I'd probably never see again because I wouldn't know it's that user by their name. | If you want to change your name, ask an Admin. They will happily change it for you.(As long as the name isnt... whatever they dont want here) Why anyone would want on-the-spot name changing anyways, I dont know.  |

| I think the user should. Then, if someone gets an account named ImaCrapMnky and forces someone else to use it, they can change. Also if someone names themself ImaJigglyLova and decides to change when they get older so they ain' called a dork. and several other reasons which probably aren't worth your time. | |||

| This way the admin can make sure that you don't change it to an existing username, and that it's appropriate. I perma-banned some fuck on another board for some name like "yormomzpussy" or something like that. I just like it the way it is. |

| At first I was like "Eh maybe it'd be a good idea" but then reading what could happen then yeah, I say nope. I think the admins are used to all the PM's by now. Now I know I'd get confused with who is who. It's better the way it is. Specially with crackhead usernames everywhere all the time.
