I've been wanting to change my theme in Windows 98 for a while. I finally did it, and everything went fine. I played a full screen game and when I exited, it had reset my title bar font to Abadi Condensed. I changed it back. Fine it's fixed, I thought. I shut it down for the night. When I returned in the morning, the font had AGAIN reset to Abadi Condensed. What the heck is going on? This happens every time I set the font for the titlebar to something other than that.

have you tried saving the theme? maybe it isn't being saved in the theme so that might be the reason? otherwise, you have a very odd Win98 bug

It's saved in the theme all right, because it set the font to one that isn't Abadi. I guess I have some bug that no one else has had.

it looks that way, you could try to see if some program is starting up to make your fonts change that way. If you try running msconfig (Start->Run and type msconfig) and checking out the startup tab to see what is starting up. maybe something is starting up that shouldn't be starting up. another thing you could try is to do a spyware scan. Go to www.lavasoftusa.com, download AdWare 6 along with the latest ref-file to see whether spyware is the cause. |
